| JC Names Wexler and Wilkins as Vice Presidents MILWAUKEE, May 04, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Journal Communications (NYSE:JRN) today named Steven H. Wexler and Sara Leuchter Wilkins as corporate vice presidents. Wexler currently serves as Executive Vice President of Journal Broadcast Group, a position he has held since January 2007. His career in radio and television has spanned almost 30 years, beginning as a part-time radio personality at Journal's WTMJ-AM in Milwaukee. Wexler hosted the station's overnight radio program from 1981-1985 and then joined Hearst Broadcasting's WISN-AM as a drive-time on-air personality and program director. From 1989-1993 he served as the program director for King Broadcasting stations in Portland, Oregon and Seattle. Wexler re-joined Journal in 1993 as WTMJ's program director. Since then he has held a number of positions, each increasingly undertaking a greater management role, including vice president and general manager at Journal's Tucson radio stations during the late 1990's. In 2001, Wexler moved to Omaha to manage the company's eight radio stations, and in 2005 was promoted to Senior Vice President. Upon his promotion to Executive Vice President in early 2007, Wexler oversees Journal's radio and television operations in Tucson and Omaha (where he also serves as General Manager of KMTV-TV), as well as radio operations in Wichita, Tulsa, Springfield and Knoxville. Wexler attended Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and expects to earn an undergraduate degree in management at Bellevue University (Nebraska) in the summer of 2007. Wilkins joined Journal Communications as Director of Investor Relations in December 2003, shortly after its Initial Public Offering, and is responsible for the company's shareholder, financial and corporate communications; analyst and investor contact; and media relations. She has 17 years of experience in investor relations, corporate/financial communications and media/public relations and has held vice president- and director-level corporate positions in investor relations and corporate communications at NYSE-, Nasdaq-, and Amex-listed companies including Rail America, Inc.; Marex Technologies; IVAX Corporation (pharmaceuticals); Greenwich Air Services; Sunglass Hut International; and Ashland Coal, Inc. Wilkins also was an Adjunct Professor of History at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia from 1990-1995. She graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania) with an undergraduate degree in history and earned Master's degrees in both American history and public administration from the University of Wisconsin. Wilkins is a co-founder and past president of the National Investor Relations Institute's (NIRI) South Florida Chapter and has served on NIRI's Small Cap Advisory Committee.
