London, England (CNS) - Heather Mills, former wife of Beatles Paul McCartney, said Monday while standing on the steps of the High Court in London that she is happy with her nearly $50 million divorce settlement. The 40-year-old ex-wife also said she is happy that the long-running divorce proceedings are finally over.

McCartney, 65, left the court house in what was described as an indifferent mood, saying to reporters that "All will be revealed."
In the McCartney-Mills divorce, the summary states that the judge decided McCartney should pay Mills a lump sum of around $33 million, which together with existing assets of around $15 million means Mills will walk away with close to $50 million.

During the past two years in which the couple has been separated, the judge deemed that Mills had overspent by $1 million. The judge also found that McCartney's worth, which was estimated to be around $1.7 billion, was actually about half of that.

The judge set Mill's annual income needs at $1.2 million a year with an additional $5 million to buy a new property in London. The judge also made a provision for daughter Beatrice which consists of periodic payments of $70,000 and McCartney will need to pay for the child's nanny and school.

McCartney and Mills were married a little less than four years.

One article I've read about Heather Mills called her a greedy stumptress. At least Sir Paul didn't have to hand over $100 million or more to the greedy bitch.
