 | Todd and Tyler Streaming update I've had a chance to do some investigation about streaming the Todd and Tyler Show at Z92. First, this isn't a minor operation, this is a corporate "option" for most if not all Journal Broadcast stations. I originally thought it'd be a little rinky dink streaming operation, but it looks as though JBG has invested a lot of money into it, and should be able to support a large number of users. That said... its brand new, so I think they want to get the kinks out of it before they let it loose on visitors. In addition, I found out that the Z92.com web site will be completely revamped. Just from a sample of what I was able to sneak around and see, its 100% better than what they have now. This seems to be part of a push by Journal Broadcasting to give all their stations a consolidated web presence. These changes will cost money of course, but from what I heard they will be using web based advertising to pay for the new features, rather than have visitors pay for streaming. That's the latest that I've seen/heard. Usually I'm pretty pessimistic about some corporate suits marketing how great their site and web features are going to be, but it looks like they're really going to invest a lot of resources into this new endeavor.

| :( So did they have a ETA? I am radioless and I want to hear the guys so I am having to stream out of state stuff cause I don't want to listen to Wookie and The Banshee on the other station...Does someone have some audio files of entire shows they can put up somewhere???

| No, it isn't legal, I don't think you could do it even if Journal would let you, due to ASCAP and other licenses. Quote:

When you get corporate involved from Wisconsin, things are gonna go slow. But the good news is that they should be able to handle the demand, and Journal Broadcasting supports it, we're just gonna have to wait a while yet. I was wondering why some other local stations have streaming, yet the mighty Z doesn't, and the answer I got was that companies like Clear Channel are way ahead of the other radio companies with their web presence, and others are just now trying to catch up.

|  To stream would be heaven I used to have a radio in my office but with new company guidelines I had to remove it...thankfully we can still have headphones and stream.... I can't wait guys. I have listened to all the on demand I can handle...I want it live and CD quality!!!

| Re: Todd and Tyler Streaming update Its getting closer, keep an eye on http://media.z92.com You'll noticed that Big Sports 590 forum link on bigsports590.com is currently not working, maybe they'll do them both the same day? http://www.bigsports590.com/forum/ The forums work (you need to go to http://www.bigsports590.com/forum/default.asp), just the /forum/ link doesn't work, they've been making some changes on the site. They haven't created a http://media.bigsport590.com subdomain though, maybe they won't stream that, or maybe JBG doesn't plan to keep BS590 very long? (speculation)
