 | Change to "Forums Read" function In the past, when you visited this site, a cookie kept track of the forums and threads that you had read and not read. Now, the backend database takes care of that task, which results in a more accurate "what forums have I read?" feature. The most immediate thing you'll notice is that all forums are now marked as "unread", until you read all the threads in those forums. To fix that, you can click on each thread in each forum to mark the thread as "read", or you can click the "Mark All Forums Read" link here: http://tntu.net/forumdisplay.php?do=markread You should only have to do this once, and then you'll be using the new system of keeping track of what nonsense you have and haven't read. | Re: Change to "Forums Read" function The only real "disadvantage" to the new way forums are marked read is that in the past, after a certain length of time, all forums were marked read for you, whether you read them or not. Now, you must visit each thread (or use the "mark forum as read" link) to actually turn the "new posts" indicator off.
