I just noticed...are the lotteries not growing in value as people enter (Dave and ob1, the last two winners, did not win more than the lotteries worth...according to their "total winnings" they actually won less than the amount of the lottery)

Is that purely coincidental, or was something changed so that the throcks count doesn't increase as people enter?

Another thing I noticed:

When I select the daily lotto and click "buy ticket" it says

Lottery Name: Daily Powerthrock Lottery
Jackpot Amount: 10,000.00
Ticket Price: 500.00
Lottery Ends Approximately: 03-15-2006, 08:16 AM
Max Tickets Per User: 5

I wonder if the daily lotto isn't set for drawing daily, but weekly? Accidently got put to weekly??? I don't know, perhaps it just shows the wrong date...but maybe that helps you, Dave, in figuring out the problem.

The lottery amounts are subject to taxes of a certain amount, although it doesn't look like the winning amount is the same every day (for the daily lottery).

I noticed that too, and fixed it yesterday morning, but looks like it gets munged up again after the daily lottery has been drawn (or not). I've been looking into these, and hopefully they'll be fixed soon.

OK, a couple things fixed, the "new" powerthrock lottery was set to run once a week, rather than every day (my bad, me stupid).

And I changed it to match the original daily lottery to build the jackpot.

For the night of the 3/8 drawing there are 8 tickets sold, so I'll force it to run again, and somebody should win.

OK, hopefully, I have things straightened out....

Some fool named ob1 won the daily lottery with his allotment of 5 daily lottery ticket purchases.

The date on that drawing was a minute ago...03-09-2006, 07:56 AM, there will be another drawing tonight, and hopefully it will run, and everything will work hunky dory.

It should be set up to run now at midnight everynight (central time), to get into the daily lottery, you must buy your ticket before 10:30pm. Tickets sold after 10:30pm will go into the next day's lottery. I hope that's the way it works now.

Another update has been done, the name ebux/estore was trademarked, so it was changed to vbBux and vbPlaza, which also means that I have to change all the phrases from those terms back to "Throcks".

After upgrading, the daily and weekly lottery ran, and I won both, which is a mistake. The weekly lottery is reset to run on 3/14. Everybody who bought a ticket for today's powerthrock lottery is still in for the drawing tonight. I'll donate the money and/or spread it around the best I can.

I'll also donate the weekly lottery ticket money back to anybody that bought a weekly lottery ticket.

Also, sports icons had to be removed because that part of the system hasn't been changed yet from ebux to vbBux, so I have that transaction history, and will be donating money back to Donnie and Mike for their icons.

If you run into problem or weirdness, let me know.

If you look at a person's profile page, you can see the gifts that were given to them, as well as the message attached to that gift, even for ribbons (which didn't work previously).

UPDATE:

Some more bugs fixed, ribbons can now be purchased for other people other than yourself. That was working, then it wasn't, now it is again.

Still working on getting that lottery running consistently, but there is a winner once a day. The weekly lottery drawing is tonight 3/14!

Sports teams are added back in the plaza to buy! It includes NCAA logos too!
