 | Tom Land Named Radio Programming Chief Milwaukee, Wis. – Tom Land has been named Director of Radio Programming for the Journal Broadcast Group. Doug Kiel, president, Journal Communications Inc. and vice chairman and CEO of the Journal Broadcast Group made the announcement today. "Time and time again, Tom has shown his ability to develop winning products and top talent in our radio group. At our Omaha stations, Tom’s leadership has been important to our success. He understands and embraces our belief that great radio stations make a powerful connection with local audiences," said Kiel. Land said, "I’m looking forward to working with our teams to continue to build our local focus in all markets and helping them grow our business results. The Journal Broadcast Group is a terrific company and I am especially grateful for this opportunity." In his new corporate role, Land will work directly with the local programming teams at the Journal Broadcast Group’s radio stations to plan and execute product strategies. Land will be based at the company’s Omaha Operations, where he has served as Operations Manager since 2000 and will continue to oversee Omaha’s programming department. Journal Broadcast Group owns and operates 37 radio stations and nine television stations in 12 states and operates two television stations under local marketing agreements. The broadcast business of Journal Communications Inc., Journal Broadcast Group is headquartered in Milwaukee.
