Jeremy has been doing this show for over 3 years and they are telling him they need someone with more experience??? I just don't understand this at all. I know the radio business is a tough business. But you'd think that TnT would have enough pull in the company to keep him as their guy. Maybe Jeremy can get Craig to leave with him and they take over the morning show on 89.7 and get rid of that dorky carrot-top looking motherfucker.

Trying to stay on topic but I have a hard time believing TnT have no input over this decision. They take all the credit for bringing Craig on board, they make it sound like the empire was created for the greater good but it just gives them an outlet to preach their political views every morning and pretty much forget what made them the #1 radio show in Omaha or anywhere else. The listeners in Omaha.

But, then again, I am not a business mind when it comes to radio franchising and what makes it tick....

I am wondering if the reason behind Jeremy's hitting the road isn't because he is a Z92 personality in his own right. And the empire is looking to "change" their image?

I didn’t post for awhile about this as I wanted time to reflect on what I wanted to say, what is important for me to say. Most people here are really pissed that Jeremy is leaving and I am also but I wanted everyone to hear more than just the anger, I wanted everyone to know why we are upset. I think that we are all sad about losing someone who we welcomed into our lives for 5 years and anger is much easier to deal with than sadness. Also I think it is easy to be anger about something we don't understand and there has been no reasoning, no explaintion.

Jeremy is still very committed to Todd and Tyler and feels very strong about supporting them (which just confirms who he is). Todd, Tyler, Craig, and Jeremy are like a family and I know that this will not be easy for any of them. I am not in radio but I can't imagine the show without him, Jeremy will be greatly missed, everyone loves Jeremy. I know that he always did his job and took great pride in it.

I don't think even he knows how many people he has helped during his time as a producer at Z-92. I know that he cared about the callers. When I found myself in the worst possible situation I could ever imagine, Jeremy helped me and for that I will always be grateful. I think that is what made him so great at what he does - he cares about people, he cares about the show, and he cares about Todd and Tyler. Everyone was able to relate to Jeremy, we all had a favorite movie that only Jeremy would admit to loving. It was nice to have someone there that grew up during the time I did – someone I could relate to. Todd, Tyler, and Craig are all about 10 years older than me, times were different – Jeremy was the link that made what they were talking about connect to my generation, I will miss that.

But most of all I will just miss him. I wish Jeremy the best of luck. I want him to know that he will be greatly missed and that he will always be considered a legend here at TnTU. He is going out in style only the way Jeremy can. I hope that Jeremy finds a good job that pays well, he deserves it. We luv ya and we will miss ya!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is a big mistake. It does not make any sense whatsoever. More experience??? Todd N Tyler has no say on this??? How do you just fuck up what was good chemistry on-air for someone with more experience than someone who has already been there for 5 years??

Well tnt are probably upset about jeremy letting go but money talks around that place trust me tnt know when to keep their mouth quiet even tho they hate the idea. It is all political just like any major corporation

Please......TnT has Journal Omaha by the balls. If there were no TNT, Z-92 would of been a Toby Keith station a long time ago.

Thanks a lot MMM, I was doing ok until I read your post and it made me cry. I just can't imagine loving the show as much as I do now. I understand how you feel about the connection with Jeremy. I am getting a whole new prespective of the show that is not good. I don't like the new arrogance that has come with "the empire". I so miss the local issues that are only talked about for 1/2 hour. Look at the influance that TnT had on the Qwest center, Tom Osborne running for office and other local issues. To me "the empire" is like the Wal-Mart coming in and running out the Mom and Pop store. I still will listen to the show (just as I have shopped at Wal-Mart) but it will never be the same. And that just plain sucks. Losing Jeremy is just the icing on the cake.

From a number of emails I received, Todd and Tyler aren't the bastards in this transaction. Tom Land from JBG is the bad guy in the operation, but that's only because his is the only name that's been mentioned. Maybe only by title he gets the ahole award.

You may be right Dave. TnT had little if anything to do with this. This was a corporate dicision. A poorly timed one. It should have happened before "The Empire" began.

but hey...its just shareholder radio.

As for Jeremy, what you see is what you get. He really is a genuinely good guy. If I were in his shoes I would breathe a sigh of relief knowing the network of friends and associates he has.

This is not an ending Jeremy its a beginning.

It is often hard to keep a group together when their surroundings change. That being said, I do believe that TnT are against this move because they are talking about it. Remember, they have often said that the only way things get fixed around the station is when they talk about it on the air.

The Empire may be expanding, and Journal thought that chqanges needed to be made to accommodate that. It is possible that Jeremy's contract is up, if he has one, (TnT have to renew sometime in June) and more responsibilites were being added to that position, money was not right, and a lack of agreement lead Journal to say, we wil find somebody else. That is where the tag line "looking for someone with more experience" is coming from.

I really think that TnT may do better in an area outside Omaha, NE. Stop throwing the tomatoes at me, but I would not be surprised if the guys move in the near future.

Viking - I am pretty sure Jeremy never had a contract. Todd and Tyler said on the radio that theirs will come up in June. I am pretty sure that Jeremy leaving didn't have anything to do with the amount of money Jeremy is getting paid or not getting paid and yes his duties have increased but the pay never increased.
