Alright-enough is enough!! Loose the conspiracy crap- J is leaving- The show has evolved- it's no longer a local, bit driven show filled with local people and Skynyrd ticket giveaways. The 2 constants here is the guys and that will be the only constant. The show wins because of those two, with the help of the people around them. That is how it has always been.

Now as far as I can tell this is a money and workload issue. Large companies are known for low wages, over-priced insurance and letting people go and throwing that workload on others with no compinsation.

This happens in a lot of companies, so don't be shocked when this happens here. The people that say "those 2 should fight harder for him- give him some of their money!!"- Bullshit- how many of YOU would drop a nickel of your check to give to the guy who pushes the shopping carts, because he does a great job- I'll tell you- NOBODY WOULD!!!!

TNT have worked very hard for their money and they are paid well for what they do- the bosses wouldn't pay them what they get if they weren't worth it. But the money has to come from somewhere. And unfortunatly J has fallen victim to what beastmaster and I did- TNT were #1 with beast and when I took over they stayed #1 and when J took over they stayed #1. Heres the flat truth-if you read only 1 line of this crap- READ THIS-

TNT have been doing radio for 20+ years and are #1- Dispite taking on 3 producers that had NEVER done the job before!!!!!!

Beastmaster hadn't worked morning radio before-
Neither had I- and neither had J- I think we all did a great job- however if you put any one of us with any of the 30+ FAILED morning shows that have died in this market- I can say with certanty we would have not done as well-

I wish J well in all he does, and he will do great in anything he tries - so lets make his final week on the show a grand as possible by---

Dropping off envelopes full of money at the station for him!!!

P.S. I would have tried this for me J, but, I quit in the middle of the sports and didn't get a chance to try it-

Donnie, you do have a point with the whole #1 no matter who the producer is thing. But, that is beside the fact. TnT have the pull at Journal, YOU know that as well as I do. What TnT says, has a pretty damn good chance of being the law. It just bugs me to think that they didn't step to the plate as much as they could have for Jeremy after all he has done for them, because they knew this was coming LONG before the word got out. Hopefully they will help him in finding a new job with the pull they have. I love the show, but I do feel this is a major fuck up on their (Journals) part. Its just not right.


This whole "need more experience" thing is bullshit. There is NOTHING that needs to be done that Jeremy couldn't do. And for Journal to give him the notice they did is also bullshit. So now Puss takes over while they find a producer, nothing against Puss, but why can't Jeremy complete his job until the new hire is there? That is what a company that cares about you would do, not Journal (Omaha). I have seen a couple of close friends fired and NO reason given for their decision. Yes, Jeremy could've stayed there and taken some sales job or some job that is not him, or slaved for shit money like most do, but leaving actually gives him the opportunity to make money and work for a company that actually gives a shit about him. I know people that have worked there for YEARS and are still making less than a paper boy.


Jeremy would've thrown himself in front of a bus for TnT, and did many times representing them in hostile territory. What does he get? A shitty little, "You did a great job while you were here, and we appreciate everything, see ya!"


I loved being involved with Z, and had a lot of great times. Jeremy was a great face for Z and its just fucked up that something he put so much effort and love in is just dicked from him for what they call a "reason". Bring in some geeky ass IT chud who doesn't have near the loyalty or sense of humor that is being lost in Jeremy. That's a great move.


Even after this, I will continue to listen to the show, but I do hope the guys throw him the bone he deserves. It'll be a different show without Jeremy, but Journal knows what they are doing, right?!

It is the "Todd and Tyler Show", not just in name. It's not the "Todd and Tyler and Jeremy and Craig and Travis Show"

That being said, it's still corporate, and whoever pays the bills has the most say.

It worth noting that all the producers of the show seem to still like "the guys" and call in occasionally, although I would think they don't have the best opinion of their prior employer.

Regarding the "Need more experience" reason from JBG about the producer position, which may be their official position, but the current job opening doesn't list "experience" as a requirement. I'm sure JBG is just trying to blow smoke up everybody's ass, but we all know who's doing the puffing

Jeremy isn't going to say anything because he knows how radio works, he doesn't want to make waves. That wouldn't solve anything, and would probably make matters worse for the show and personal relationships.

Just my 1.5 cents.

As part of the TNT feeding tube, I just talked to Jeremy. He didn't elaborate, but Friday is his last day. He will be greatly missed! He WAS the gatekeeper for the guys, but he wasn't an ass about it. He performed his job well, and I know the guys appreciated it too. It's amazing how job stability is not a part of the radio biz.

Personally I am all for abusing the new producer when they find him. Prank calls, calling him gay and things like that. I liked Jeremy and there is nothing they couldn't have trained him to do so he could keep his job.

Hmm...I have totally missed this crap. I've been out for a couple weeks and have missed the show on air. WTF?

I can't speak for Jeremy, I've never spoke to him. I can't possibly ramble on about what kind of guy he is, etc..

What I don't understand is, you all are listeners and some of the biggest TNT fans. So, you just say your good-byes to him?

Without you, there is no TNT. Megan, call and let them boys know...it may be Trav you crush on but you won't let anyone else screen your calls.

Megs just an example. But, I think TNT needs to see whose brought them to their empire.

You get the word out...strike the empire. Bad publicity for TNT won't help them bring in their corporate dollars...

I would bet that "Todd and Tyler" the people know how much it sucks to let Jeremy go, but "Todd and Tyler" corporate doesn't give a rat's ass.

If they can get rid of their 2 evening newscasters a week before Christmas without batting an eye, this change means nothing to them.

Harassing any new producer(s) will just make people uncomfortable, cranky, and isn't fair to the new guy/gal, it isn't going to change anything.

I have told Jeremy how horrible I feel. There is nothing that can be done. He is looking for another job. I have no information as to why Jeremy is leaving and what is going on behind the scenes with Todd and Tyler. Believe me.....I have NO pull when it comes to call screeners. I was so sad yesterday when Puss answered the phone. I immediately asked where Jeremy was because I have been out of town. I was happy to hear he was in the office. Tomorrow is his last day. I can only wish him the best of luck. Maybe after he is gone the true story will come out as to what happened. Love ya Jeremy. Puss has no fluffing skills compared to you. Please teach him something!

I have to say that I sincerely and deeply regret my Jeremy bashing posts on the previous page. I'm really feeling the weight of this now.

No matter what job Jeremy gets, he'll never EVER forget his time with TnT. Those will be the best memories he'll ever have of his entire broadcasting career (which I hope continues, BTW).

Even though I was never a fan of his laugh, it's still sad to see him go. I REALLY hated it when Donnie left. But was very happy when BW was fired.

And since we're hearing more of Big P's voice lately, does this mean he will be the new producer? I'm also wondering if TnT will at least give Jeremy a farewell show tomorrow.

He deserves at least that. But then, it also might be kind of emotionally hard on him. Especially with all the phone calls that would pour in.

I know its been a while since I posted and like most everyone else I am sad Jeremy will no longer be part of the TNT show. I just got done reading all the posts here and I have to say MMM pretty much summed up how I feel..good luck Jeremy you will be missed.

Puss is not the new producer of the show. He is just "filling in" while they find a new producer. I know Puss personally, and think he would make a great producer, he puts forth crazy effort in whatever he does, but he does not have the skills JBG is looking for either. I will be streaming tomorrow, and wish Jeremy the best. I would hope there is a nice segment for him within the 5 hours sometime. Afterall, he deserves it.
