I only started watching the first season of the show right around the beginning of season 4, so the strike did not affect me as much--since autumn, I have caught up on the series and now have a desire to pop Vicodin like candy

TORONTO - Blind rock and jazz musician Jeff Healey has died after a lifelong battle against cancer. He was 41.

I don't know how many D&D geeks are out there (yes, I'm one), but for those of you who are:

MILWAUKEE - Gary Gygax, who co-created the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons and helped start the role-playing phenomenon, died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva. He was 69.

ok,ok. Just to clarify. I did own a D&D game as a kid. But,I didn't know who created the game, and didn't care. I just know know he died a very rich man... Between the game,the cartoon that didn't last long, and the future movie they are coming out with.

Actually, Gygax could be called "living comfortably" at best. He lost control of the company back in he 1980's when he was forced out and subsequently sold his interest. He did little projects after that, but none of them were any great successes. I'm sure he wasn't destitute by any means, but not rich, either. (Ok, I'm getting off of my geek box. All I wanted to do is to let the other roleplayers know that the father of D&D had passed.)
