I walked through the drive through at McDonalds when I was a teenager... Pissed the manager off... But not as much as when I went through the drive through in Reverse....

He threatened to call the cops on us. We probably would of stayed and argued but we had beer in the car and were not old enough to have it.

So we promised not to do it again, got our food and ran.

A couple of teachers are great! I can see that in the way they handle the kids and the way the kids respond. They have the passion of wanting to teach.

A. I don't teach for the money or the summer off. I do it because I love kids and want to make a difference in the world.
B. Throwing money at the problem won't help, but how is it fair that to attract new teachers they raise the starting pay to almost what I make...and I have a Master's degree?
C. I totally agree that the parents should be responsible for their kid's education, now if only you could convince everyone who has a child that...yeah, that would be great!
D. Garbage men do an important job that I wouldn't want to do, so they should be compensated accordingly...so should teachers.

It is easy as a good parent to say that you take a role in your child's education...and I am sure you do...but many parents don't give a crap, such as the child whose mom came to conferences drunk off her ass. For those kids, I may be their only line of defense, and I am glad for my job, I love it! However, being highly trained in my area...I don't get paid as much as a highly trained doctor, lawyer, mechanic, or plumber.

P.S. Not a freeloader. And as a touch of irony my family of my daughter and I make too much money for even reduced lunch or school fees.

K off my soapbox now. Go back to hiring losers.
