  | Public hunting grouns around Omaha? So......opening weekend for deer season pretty much sucked for me. I went out by York to hunt with the inlaws. While I had alot of fun doing it, I failed to bring a bloody carcas home  Is there any public land around Omaha that people know of that will have decent hunting? I'll be taking some PTO this week to get it done. Hopefully the public grounds will be less crowded if I do it that way.

| Re: Public hunting grouns around Omaha? Gifford Farm in Bellevue has had a deer problem for years...I know they let people hunt there...not sure if they opened a rifle season yet...has been Bows only for a while....

My permit only allows me to hunt in certain areas, Iowa not being one of them :( I think I have found a couple of people I used to work with that have some land that I may be able to hunt on though, so it's looking better at least.
