| Straight Pimpin ![]() | So... Breetia da coke guy... Your MAME cabinet, where'd you get he parts for it? I've used MAME once in a while to play some of those classic games, but its just not the same with a keyboard. Did you wire it yourself? I'd be interested to hear more about it. GEEK GEEK!

| Straight Pimpin ![]() | Re:So... Breetia da coke guy... MAME is a game emulator that can emulate the classic cabinet games from the past like pac man, donkey kong, etc. etc. (including TARG, fruitcake) He made a cabinet to enclose a PC and monitor so that he can play the games just like he would on a machine from the time.. http://
<a href="http://group...msnw
It'd be nice to add to a rec room if you could get everything to work correctly with the button to keyboard mapping.

| Re:So... Breetia da coke guy... Pick yourself up a USB game controller. They're like 10-15 bucks. I use that along with SNES9x to play old Super Nintendo games, and it rocks. Just like playing the original. |

| Re:So... Breetia da coke guy... Check out Build Your Own Arcade Controls. I found my donor cab at New Life Thrift on 36th and Harrison a few years ago, and with parts from happs and ultimarc and OSCAR I have a pretty cool set up. Ancient pictures. Not that you asked me :) |

| Re:So... Breetia da coke guy... Yep...I would definitely go to build your own arcade controls for ideas. Happs controls is good place for parts. Nebraska technical service is good as well. They let you dig in there used stuff. For a monitor I would use a TV. They are cheap and are close to an arcade monitor. I built my own cab cause I did not want to mess up one of my old arcade machines. NIce cab MinerAl Post edited by: breetia da coke guy, at: 2005/06/07 15:48 |
