I believe they are referring to how a lot of times the same thread gets posts so...the little 'recent discussion' table only has one thread discussion since all the most recent posts were in that thread.

Yes, from the home page, recent discussions lists every recent post. To be more correct, it should list recent theads. I've been working on that, but the best I've been able to come up with is 'the most recent NEW threads started', rather than the 'show the most recent post from EACH thread'
