as long as this is a forum, and not a 'only post one type of thought or you will be kicked off' then why not allow people to disagree. frankly i agree with HD in that Larry isnt my type of comedian. do you have to like everyone that comes on TNT to like the show? i think all he was trying to say was he doesnt get how Larry got so big, and I think theres an interesting reason why that we could all talk about...but this thread shows that some people try to act like TNT and do as they would do. its ok to not like something, and i think its completely reasonable to discuss it on here.

as far as larry goes, he isnt a seinfeld or carlin or anything. he has an audience, and that audience is big right now, but its a specific audience. do you really think that if he wasnt from nebraska, people would really care that much? if he wasnt on the radio here through the 90s, i know i wouldnt care as much. just the point people are trying to make...but if you like him, thats fine. i think he has some great lines every now and then.

Obviously the 'only post one type of thought or you will be kicked off' dosn't apply here. This thread was about Larry's new book, and seeing if people were going to read it or not and he comes in and calls everyone retards, so yea people got defense. I do love the incocent act like it was his opinion about Larry we were bashing. Don't we love how things get turned around against those who didn't do anything.

I think Larry the Cable Guy on Todd and Tyler is hilarious. He's the ranting, better joke-telling guy. His stand up act never did it for me because he appeases the 'Dixie Chicks are traitors' crowd too much. That's just my opinion though. I admit he can truly be hysterical, however. He's...rich.

It's a rarity you'll hear this from me but...the fighting in this thread is ridiculous.

This post was started to let everyone know that Larry's book is now at the local bookstores.. not Walmart.

So now that you have all posted about Larry - Yes some like him and some don't - But really is fighting over how funny Larry the Cable Guy is or isn't worth all the time and effort you have wasted? You all could have spent that time praising me... ;) So no more posts about how we can all just get along..or how one persons views are better than everyone elses.. no more name calling.. i understand your point mmmm, but i think what i was trying to point out was that a forum implies people discussing their views, and having a differing view than the majority, or TNT's, shouldnt be grounds for being banned. but go by larrys book, if you want it. i think larry, if you think he is funny or not, is one of the most honorable people after being famous. he deserves respect for that alone.

I am ok with differing opinions about issues brought up on the show or in these threads. I am all for bashing EACH OTHER in these threads. But I am of the thinking that this is a TNT FAN website. Why would anyone feel that they need to bash Todd or Mike?!?! Poking fun is one thing, but HD's comments sounded like a flat out trashing. I did feel kinda embarassed for this site when they mentioned HD's post.

HD - Do you know them outside of the show on a personal level? If not then shut the hell up. They have a show to run and it involves dealing with stupid people and people who make personal attacks on them without really knowing them.

i really dont want it to look like i always take HD's side, but Tyler is a big boy and he knows that he is doing a character that 'acts like a prick'. this is a fan site, but i remember the first time i came here i got into the chatroom and most people agreed that TNT arent perfect. their show thrives on people not always having to agree with them. you cant have a show where you constantly bash certain types of people and not expect people to feel like they can do it back. they get it...they know what they are doing.

ive been a TNT fan for a long time now, listening as often as i can...but that doesnt mean if i think something negative about the show, i shouldnt say it. i think this forum should be OPEN and just let people talk. ive never seen a forum where moderators tried to control what people said so much. if your flaming i understand..but it almost seems like you cant even be critical..thats why ive mostly been quiet..cause all my thoughts arent soundbites trying to sound like tnt. isnt it possible to really enjoy something but want it to be better? i cant email from work and i cant call in, so this is where i come to talk about the show, good or bad.

You are welcome to talk about the show good or bad. The only thing I moderate is keeping personal shit out of the site!! This is a site for the FANS if you want to insult people go to the 590 site..Ideas, thoughts, talk about the show - thats fine, but don't call names and hide behind a screen name. If you don't like Todd or Tyler or even me as a moderator thats fine. But name calling is so childish, if you have a point great - talk about it - but how can you really say that name calling is ok?

How do I try to control what you say - only rules here are no personal attacks or personal information. Other than that say whatever you want??

i think its fair to say that theres like 10-15 people who post consistantly. of those some are ass kissers, some are sex fiends, some are trouble makers, and some just like to post unfunny comments that trav wouldnt even let on his show....

so lets all just have fun. personally theres one point in every tnt show where i wanna change the dial, and where i am laughing my ass off. thats why they are so good. i wasnt attacking you mmm, or anyone else...just throwing support for an opposing view because it looked like everyone was ganging up, which happens on a fan site when your critical.

dk - I understand what you are saying. But this site isn't going to be what the 590 site is.. (sorry Trav).. There have been TnT bashing sites before and they don't work. So this is different - IT IS A FAN SITE - yes there are about 15 people who post on a regular basis - we keep it fun. But I would never truley insult them - not even Hooper. There are over 500 members and 50-100 members on the site during the day, so other people do read the posts. It is because of the people who post that this site is great!! THANKS GUYS!!
