 | A kinder, gentler, Dave I've added a new hack to the forums to help alleviate banned members coming back. Its called "miserable user", and it sounds like it'll be a great addition to this site. Strangely, I've tweaked it a bit, and came up with a better name for it, "The TOMMY gun!". Basically how it works is this... Bannings won't be happening as often anymore, unless its grievous conduct, or something that doesn't comply with the rules and privacy, and registration requirements. What will happen though, is that the user will be made "miserable" viewing these forums, such as, but not limited too.... 1. Slow response (time delay) on every page (20 to 60 seconds default). 2. A chance they will get the "server busy" message (50% by default). 3. A chance that no search facilities will be available (75% by default). 4. A chance they will get redirected to another preset page (25% & homepage by default). 5. A chance they will simply get a blank page (25% by default). 6. Post flood limit increased by a defined factor (10 times by default). 7. If they get past all this okay, then they will be served up their proper page. So... TOMMY, welcome back to the fold. If you're a banned member, and would like to get a second chance, contact me, and I'll see what I can do, but no promises.

| Yeah, its a genius idea, whoever thought of it. I don't like the idea of banning, so this is the next worst thing.

| Daphne, trust me the worrying will never stop. But at some point you have to let them go, grow and make their own mistakes. Never stop being a parent. But now is the time to be more of a friend. Best of luck to you and your daughter. |

| thanks It is so hard to stand back and watch..I'm getting better about keeping my mouth shut I have been on my own for 16 years never re-married or lived with anyone. I made that choice because I wanted to raise her to be independent, work hard, live well, and rely on yourself needless to say she met a guy and wants to get married have a family...where did I go wrong  I always envisioned her to go to college get her law degree and travel and then marry when she was about oh...30 all kidding aside I love her so much I want her to have everything that life has to offer. | im' about that age and can't imagine being married. just to much for me to do on my own right now. But it's not always a bad decision, someday, I want to settle down and raise some boys, but definitely not now. I would say it's a good idea to wait until at least 26. Just my thoughts.

| The views expressed are my own and not those of buss enterprises, TnTu or any others etc or something hehe, I hate lawyers but have found I need them grrr I totally agree I think you should be like 26 or 30 before you get married, I talk from experience, got married young, divorced etc and I think you need to live life and see some of the world and finish learning about yourself before there is someone else involved, obviously some people are different but I think being comfortable with you and where you are, just my 2 cents worth. Boo I can so see that senerio in the TnTu offices
