There is a product available for this board that let's registered members keep a personal page for themselves, and has individualized shout boxes for each person, sort of an extended biography page.

Would you use it, or am I smoking crack?

Yes, that would be my vote, overkill. But if somebody wanted to create their own personal profile of themselves, they could. I'll find some examples.
