 | Poll: How did your parents discipline you? Beatings, time out's, smackdown ass kickings? We have 'em here. My dad used the belt and my Mom used the wooden spoon. I have had a few spoons broken over my ass! My gradfather used to beat my ass with a yardstick!

| Well lets see here.It all depended on what I did.Typically,it was the belt.But,for harsher things,my dad would make me go out in the front yard and pick my own switch off the Weeping Willow tree.The worst I got was with a 2 x 4.Trust me,never did that again.

| yeah, i never got beat or evenstruck. My parents would send me to my room as a child, and later on in life i was never even grounded. Just didn't get into too much trouble. my mom had the evil eyes like dave's and i was always scared of my dad. Not afraid of beatings, but his disappointment more. I'll never forget his words of wisdom before prom my sophomore year, he looked right at me and said "Don't F**K Up!" plain and simple.

| really early on i got spanked a few times with a belt or just a hand. once i figured out my mom couldnt hurt me i usually waited to be bad till my dad was gone. after a while, all they had to do was snap the belt or give me the look, and i knew what was up. guess the reinforcement works |

| I got beat once in awhile but never with any objects like belts or sticks and I never had to eat soap. I don't really remember being told to go to my room ever.
