  | Morel mushrooms Anybody here ever go out and look for these things? Since I have lived in Omaha I have not been able to find a good place to find them, and it's getting to that time of year when they are going to be coming around. They are indeed the best (legal) mushrooms in the world.

| Re: Morel mushrooms Yes, some wild mushrooms can be very poisonous. You have to really know what you are looking for. I might have to do the whole searching the bluffs thing. Now that I have been thinking about it I really want to go out and find some.

| Re: Morel mushrooms Between Omaha and Ft Calhoun, closer to Ft Calhoun, in the hills on the west side of the highway. I've always had great success there. There is a rock quarry on the west side of the highway and the hills right behind it are a good place to start.

  | Re: Morel mushrooms I would think that fontonelle (spelling) would have a lot around. Other than that I have nothing unless you want to come to Northeast Nebraska
