| Re: Best Concert Ever!!! I'll limit my favorite concerts to the Omaha/CB ones I've attended. Tour/Festivals: EdgeFest RockFest Warped Tour (can anyone intelligently explain to my why this tour doesn't come here every year?) Bands that have been great to see in Omaha/CB: The Suicide Machines @ that sh*thole club on Leavenworth The Urge, location doesn't matter, EVERY show was great 2 Skinnee J's (met my wife @ a J's show), again location didn't matter One of my favorite shows was when Rancid came to town a few years ago (I wanna say '95) and the promoters moved it from the Ranch Bowl to Lincoln's Royal Grove before re-moving it to the seated music hall portion of the Civic...the audience almost rioted...I LOVED it... Now that the Ranch Bowl has died (from what I've heard, never to be revived either), the scene has come to an almost screeching halt. Sokol is doing it's best to fill the gap, but, IMO, it's not working (the punk & ska acts just don't route through here anymore, it's all Indie/Emo/Pop type music (not a bash against that type of music, just not my thing)). The mid-level bands do not come here, and I cannot fathom why, instead they're in Des Moines, Minneapolis, KC/Lawrence, and/or Denver. Up-and-coming-type acts make their requisite stops, and occasionally a big name will rape their fans' wallets @ Qwest, but when the Ranch Bowl existed it seemed there was a great show every 2 to 3 weeks. Sad, sad, sad. A list of bands/festivals I'd love to see in this area: Warped Tour Ska Is Dead Tour Less Than Jake Rancid Flogging Molly Dropkick Murphys NOFX Reel Big Fish Goldfinger The Slackers Big D & The Kids Table In general, just more punk & ska acts would be great... |

| Re: Best Concert Ever!!! Carl I have to agree with you about the urge! They are a great show! I saw them open up for 311 many times. Once they opened before nodoubt and 311. Sandstone was rockin during there set, and when no doubt got on stage everyone sat and stood still. Stefani actually had to beg people to get up and do something. The urge is about the only band I would have put up against 311 in a live show. The best ever with those 2 was at the Hurricane in lincoln! THe floor was rocking so hard that me a a couple of guys had to acutally hold the speakers up

| Re: Best Concert Ever!!! The best concert I have ever been to was in North Dakota. We camped all weekend and they like 30 bands. I would have to say the best performance was by Quiet Riot (yes, I know they didn’t show up to Z-Bash but they were great). It was full of 80’s bands and some local bands. |
