| Re: Z Bash 2006? I heard that acts have pretty much "priced " temselves out of things like this, at least that is what was said at the meeting last week. It was also stated that they are working on something, it was never explained if that means another day at the Anchor like last year or what....as I said the only thing that the guy meantioned was "we are working on something right now" |

| Re: Z Bash 2006? My other vote goes to possibly, but don't count on it. JGB might have the $ to put on something like this but that doesn't mean that they will.

| Re: Z Bash 2006? If Comstock can make it work in the middle of no where, why can't Z92 get it done here? There were always great crowds, even in the rain! Plus, they don't have to get 5 "used-to-be" headliners. Why not 2 name bands (Poison, Night Ranger, Cheap Trick, Jackyl, Stephen Pearcy, etc) and 2 of the top local rock cover bands. I agree that most people have seen these bands, but they always put on a great show and the 80's/90's acts are kinda limited to who is still alive and under 300 lbs. I think most people go to hear the great music and have a few beverages anyways. Plus, if they started it a little later - 2-3 on a Saturday afternoon -more people would be off work and more likely to attend. We went 3 years in a row - what a blast!

| Re: Z Bash 2006? I was told that they did not feel that the acts were of enough quality last year and I believe he said something about the cost of the bands. He gave a example of $20,000 for a 80's rock band. He said that is what they are asking for

| Re: Z Bash 2006? That's the sad thing. They still think they can price with the "now" bands, and don't realize their music is 20 years old.

| Re: Z Bash 2006? Isn't poision still on tour? I know that The Cult did a tour this past fall/winter, Ministry is obviously going on tour with Revolting Cocks. I think mainly it is a gamble on trying to get the right bands that would work when setting the stage list and whatnot. Definatly worth going to (hell, can I perform if they want a sideshow?) |

| Re: Z Bash 2006? Part of Journey was already here. Def Leopard would be good. I wonder who else that might be decent is touring? I would like to see Great White without there pyro our manager.

| Special Members | Re: Z Bash 2006? Freddie Fender and Richie Valens dates are open... Why not a band like Deep Purple, they are still technically together and touring. I'd also try to get Brides of Destruction. Not sure if Motley Crue would do it because they just got done touring and are currently working on an album. GNR are currently touring overseas (besides Axl is a piece of shit (thats the crue fan in me)) I'm just brainstorming these names Primus King Diamond Alice in Chains Misfits Danzig (Separatly i like the current misfits line up too much) Alice Cooper |

A big fat fuck yeah on King Diamond, but I don't think that he or Mercyful Fate are doing anything right now. What about Scum of the Earth (Riggs from Wite Zombie/Rob Zombie) if you like the old school White Zombie sound you would definatly like them. But like what about other bands in the area. Haunted Reason (Omaha) the first industral band in Omaha Helios Creed (AKA Chrome) Old school (way old school, they influenced Ministry) industrial act out of who knows where but eventually ended up in Omaha. Vibralux (KC) fucked up glam punk Pornhuskers (KC) the name says it all Swill (around KC) like old school ministry, definatly worth seeing live Bible of the Devil (Chicago) wow, old school metal I know of a few others but I can't put my finger on it (old school industrial acts) | |
