Someone help me hear again

I must have slept wrong or something last night..............but this sucks.

I woke up this morning, and the side I was laying on last night, I can't hear a damn thing out of my ear on that side!

Some people have told me it could be allergies ( I do have some of them ) and others tell me to go see the doc ASAP.

The messed up thing is - if I move my ear in just the right direction ( before you ask - yes I can move both my ears independently of one another ) it get's a little bit better........THIS SUCKS!

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Re: Someone help me hear again

You can move your ears by themselves...whoa! I wouldn't worry about it, probably just allergies, but if it stays that way tomorrow I would go see the Doc. That is my "mom" advice.

Re: Someone help me hear again

It really sucks, because alot of my work includes talking to users on the phone, and that is the ear I usually use on the phone.

It just feels weird using the phone on the other ear........

Maybe I'll grab a flaming Q-tip so I can see down in there.............

Sounds like allergies with fluid build up.... Try standing on your head, holding your nose shut, And forcing a sneeze... That should pop it open....If it doesn't, then go see your Voodoo Doctor....

Re: Someone help me hear again

I have been suffering from allergies and sinus drainage like crazy...

Blow your nose, don't sniff ... my doc said to take a half and half mixture of vinegar and water, place a few drops in you ear, and let it soak in for a few minutes. It helped.

Re: Someone help me hear again

Hmmmmm.............maybe I'll try the vinegar / water thing tonight. It has gotten better throughout the day, but I still can't hear 100% as good as I used to be able to. This is enough to drive me nuts.

Re: Someone help me hear again

Take a shower and stick your ear under the water to try to loosen up any crap in there then tilt your ear down to allow it to drain. If that doesnt work stick your finger in there and do the plunger thing.
