Its time we need to sicken this spectacle by placing imaginary money bets on the outcome, I think I have all the bases covered here.

Jessica O'Grady Missing - Omaha Nebraska

You can double your money if Edwards is convicted, acquitted, or a hung jury happens, Odds are 3 to 1 if he confesses to the crime. This bet is based on whether Edwards will be convicted of a jury of killing Jennifer O'grady (no matter how severe the degree)

If there is a body before trial, he will likely confess.

Now I have one question, if there is no body, isn't there a different or lesser crime for that?

This bet is based on whether he'll be convicted or acquitted of the murder / accidental stabbing / forgetful slicing, or whatever crime he's charged with. I believe he's only charged with one crime at the moment.

No, I checked it out. He is charged with a lesser...2nd degree because there is no body. I do believe.

If there is no body it will still be very hard to convict. Lets not give the Omaha Police that much credit, "great forensics" my ass.

I think he'll be convicted. Based alot on the blood and his trip to Walgreens. Hopefully someday they'll find out what he did with the body.

First of all it was the Douglas County Sheriff's Office that made the arrest and investigation not OPD. Now let me just say that the Douglas County Sheriff along with the Douglas County Prosecutor would not have arrested Edwards unless they had enough evidence to convict him.

Also about the Omaha Police Department -if they judge a case to early and make an arrest or name a suspect in a case it could jeopardize the case. So just because the public doesn't know about the leads or suspects in a case doesn't mean that they don't have a solid lead or information - they just don't have enough yet to ensure a conviction. If someone is arrested they only have so much time to take it to trail and if there isn't enough information at the time of the trail they cannot retry the case. So I would rather they continue on a case and keep it private then I would they take a case to court and lose or make it public and put the suspect on defense..

Dave.. I will have to reserve my bet as I morally can't bet on this.. Sorry.. I do think that he will be convicted. However it may or may not go to a jury trial, I think that is up to the defense.. (not sure on all the details)..but I think they can just have the trial in front of a judge instead of a jury..

the only way he gets aquitted is if he gets OJ's jury

I agree with the arrest and I am also pleased that details aren't being released as to all evidence, etc... Whether he is guilty or not, he still deserves a fair trial or have his day in court.

One thing about the Scott Pederson case is they (both sides) were leaking info and that drove me absolutely crazy. It will be interesting to see how this is handled and played out...how much the public will be told before, etc... Still alot of time to go before he has his day.

OK, when did Higgins drop or get dropped from this case, or is Lefler another of Edwards' counsel? I need to listen to local news more often.
