| Are you an internet addict? I found an interesting article about a recent study done at Stanford...: How to spot an internet addict - web - Technology - smh.com.au I found it particularly amusing that, as one of the criteria to being an addict, hiding one's non-essential internet activity is a sign of addiction. Anyone care to guess why that might be amusing to some?  Anyway, I thought I might pose this question: How do you define an internet addiction--and, are you a 'net addict? I should really be doing homework right now, and yet I'm posting to TnTU...sign of addiction, or just stupidity?  I open the floor for debate/discussion

 | Re: Are you an internet addict? I agree with Bud. Donnie I don't think you are an addict really, but it is avoidance of your homework, and I understand that. I even condone it now and then. I am not an addict, cuz I am never on at home, just at work when I am bored and have no papers to grade or the kids are busy doing something.
