This is your mission should you choose to accept it. Using all of those A/V skills you picked up back in high school, build us a kick-ass 30 second commercial.

You will need to muster all the creativity you can and if your spot is good enough, we will air it on Superbowl Sunday on KMTV Channel 3!!!

To get started, download the Official "It's My Z" Packet here. In the packet you will find Z Logos, and the official rules. Make sure you use at least one of the Z-Logos in your commercial. As a bonus, Big Voice Guy gave us a few Mp3's that you can use if you want.

To Submit your entry, email your commercials to contests@z92.com or drop them off at the Z-92 Studios at 5030 N 72nd between 8am-5pm. Or mail your submissions to:

They don't give you a lot to work with, which is ok I guess. Three mp3's, and 2 of them are the BVG saying the same thing about "Todd and Tyler and everything that rocks, Z92".

I can't tell if they want submissions to be about Todd and Tyler or Z92, or both, or what. It doesn't say who the judges will be. That would be nice to know

Here are the "official rules" available from the packet:

1) A copy of these rules will be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the KEZO business office, 5030 N 72nd St., Omaha, NE 68134, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm beginning, Monday, Dec 11, 2006
2) The execution of this promotion is as follows:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This is a submit to win contest. Necessary and Essential pieces of audio and station logo image that must be included in your final submission will be available at Z-92. Participants can and may submit a 30 second video commercial created by themselves beginning Dec 11 – Jan 12, 2007 via the following ways: email finished video commercial to contests@z92.com; saving finished video commercial to a disc and submit by mail or drop off during regular business hours to attn: “IT’S MY Z”, 5030 N 72nd St., Omaha, NE 68134, Monday through Friday during promotional submission period. The promotional period will begin Monday, Dec 11 and conclude Friday, Jan 12, 2007. Submissions will be uploaded to the “It’s My Z” webpage on Z-92 beginning Jan 15 through Jan. 26, 2007. No submissions will be accepted after close of business (5:00pm) Friday, Jan 12, 2007. Finalists based on judging by Z-92 staff will be announced online at Z-92 on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007. Listeners will be solicited on air and through www.Z92.com to vote online beginning Jan. 15, through Jan. 26, 2007 for their favorite submission to the ‘It’s My Z” commercial contest. Final decision will be made by Z-92 judges no later than Feb. 1, 2007. Winning contest submission will be notified by seeing their winning submission played on KMTV Action 3 News Feb 4, 2007 (Super Bowl Sunday).

3) Employees and ex-employees of Journal Broadcast Group, Inc., (JBG), promotion sponsors, their advertising agencies, parent companies, subsidiaries, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the contest. Members of competing media and their immediate family are also ineligible. Void where prohibited by law.

4) By calling, emailing, US Mail or otherwise submitting to this contest or communicating with Journal Broadcast Group/ KEZO to participate in this contest, participants hereby grant Journal Broadcast Group / KEZO, and its licensees, the right to use participants submission to contest as well as their name, likeness, portrait, live or recorded voice and or image of person or their submitted creation and biographical material, in order to advertise, promote or publicize Journal Broadcast Group/ KEZO, its products and any advertisers on Journal Broadcast Group/ KEZO. Journal Broadcast Group/ KEZO is not responsible for any lost e-mail, mail, misdirected or lost phone calls or faxes due to mechanical or human error, or incomplete faxes or e-mail.

5) Winners will release and discharge Journal Broadcast Group Inc. (JBG), promotion sponsors, and their officers and employees from any liability for any injuries or damages or causes of action arising out of, or in connection with said contest or attendant to the acceptance and use of the prizes won. Prior to acceptance of prize, winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, release form and show proper I.D. certifying compliance with official rules. Winner must be a legal resident of the United States and reside in the Z-92 listening area as defined by Arbitron. By submitting and official entry to this contest, you will adhere to all rules and regulations outlined by these official rules. There will be no monetary compensation to winner of this contest. Contest winner grants Journal Broadcast Group / KEZO exclusive rights to all official contest entries with no time limitation on usage or type of usage.

6) Journal Broadcast Group reserves the right to modify or enhance these rules at any time by placing announcements to that effect on the air.

7) Prize is non-transferable. Winner is responsible for all taxes, insurance and licensing.

8) Contest will end on February 4, 2007. Only one winner will be chosen.

Hey freaks, did ya miss me? Don't ya hate it when you get involved with life and manage to forget about all the old websites you used to visit? That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, damnit. That and the place I'm temping at kindof blocks this place so....

ANYHOW, back on topic. I'd like to point you in the direction of Submission #8 (ironic...). Please vote for us, it would be great to see SC on. Just think of the heart attacks you can give blue hairs!!
