Journal Sentinel Inc. Purchases Two Magazines

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2007--Journal Sentinel Inc. announced today that it has purchased Wisconsin Trails and Milwaukee Home & Fine Living magazines from Trails Media Group, Inc. Wisconsin Trails has commemorated the people, history, nature, travel, culture and other intriguing aspects of life in the Badger State for more than 45 years. Milwaukee Home celebrates home design and stylish living in the greater Milwaukee metropolitan area. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Journal Sentinel Inc. is a Journal Communications' (NYSE:JRN) company.

"We are very pleased to add Wisconsin Trails and Milwaukee Home to our growing group of high quality specialty publications including mke, AquiMilwaukee and MetroParent," said Elizabeth (Betsy) Brenner, president and chief operating officer of Journal Communications' publishing group. "The acquisition of these two great titles underscores our strategy to go deeper into our local markets to reach the quality readers that advertisers most desire. Additionally, we expect to generate revenue growth through the build-out of our lifestyle websites and print products as well as to take advantage of efficiencies in advertising sales, production and distribution.

"I am delighted that these magazines will remain in the hands of a Wisconsin-based company with a deep commitment to its people and heritage," commented Trails Media Group CEO Scott Klug. "We wanted these magazines and their staff to land in a good home, and I think the Journal Sentinel is exactly that kind of place."
