Does Omaha have a fireworks show? You know, I have been here for several years and I can't remember it ever having one. I know the Royals do something but...thats it?

Certainly Omaha has a fireworks show? If so, when, where, and some tips to getting good seats and out of there as painless as possible.

the thing is the one after the Royals game is put on by the Grucci family. Who, I'm not sure if you know, is very good in the firework business.

Rosenblatt has the best fireworks on July 3 @ 9:30. Harrah's has some on the 4th. I think Ralston does their's on the 4th.

Rosenblatt puts on a show I think on July 3rd. I called the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce and was told that Harrah's is putting on a fireworks show on July 4th, and if you want more information the C.B. Chamber of Commerce phone number is 712-325-1000.

So, the one at Rosenblatt is Omahas firework show?

I guess thats where the confusion is for me. I associated that show with the Royals themselves and not "Omaha"

If you are looking for something for seating... I can't give up my secret spot. However, there are a lot of great places to see it from. You can go down to 13th street, hang out on a boat on the Missouri, and I have even gone over to Council Bluffs and watched. A good spot is to sit on the roof of one of the casino parking garages. Of course, if you aren't on 13th street it is difficult to see the lower fireworks but sometimes it's worth the trade for fighting the traffic. They do broadcast the music for the show on the radio. For some reason I am thinking the country station 103.7 has done it in the past but I don't know who is doing it this year.

Memorial Park had one this past weekend, the Blatt as stated, Con-Agra puts one on, on the 4th

Down here in Shen, we are having a Flag retirement ceremony before the fireworks. And as the Commander of the American Legion, I have the lead role...

After that, I get to walk to where the fireworks are going to be lit off... And maybe light a couple of them off... Can't wait to feel those concussions....

And before mike says something... They are professional grade commercial fireworks... Not bottle rockets....

Well you all will be happy to know that thanks to the OPD shutting down 13th street it messed up my good spot.

Of course 2 men

were sitting in the front seats and not listening to me so we ended up in a crappy spot downtown by the Durham Museum. The show sucked and I would have rather watched it on the news.

Hope you had a better time than we did.

Oh well, there's always next year.

Shadow Ridge always has a pretty good show too. It was on Friday night. There is usually pretty good parking about 185th and Pacific or so.

Come on down to Seward Nebraska. It's the 4th of July City of Nebraska. The town's population and has exploded today. From about 6700 people to almost 30,000. It's kind of crazy!

??? I thought you were going to a show on the 4th of July?? Why is it everyone has shows before or after the 4th?? Blair has one the Sunday before the 4th and one the Saturday after the 4th..
