Our 20 year is coming up and I just don't know if I want to go.

If you have been to one did you enjoy it or could you not leave fast enough?

I skipped our 10 year because there were better parties to attend at the time if you know what I mean.

Yep, I'm going...I'm just not fond of crowds of people. At least I will know some of them though so perhaps that will help.

Plus I get to show off my hot wife...

I think my class would be surprised to see mine also. Especially since she is much younger.

I was the guy who got high with the stoners (older and younger) and hit all of the parties on the weekends but still managed to score A's in college prep classes. So I really didn't get along with most of my classmates, especially the nerds in my prep classes. On graduation day when we lined up a lot of people accused me of stealing my honor cords to wear as they just knew me as a jokester goof-off partier.

Like you said I may just go to show off my wife.

But I'm really leaning on not going.

I went to my 5 year reunion. I didn't go to my 10 and my wife didn't go to her 10 because it was going to be lame.

I haven't been to any of mine... I wasn't one of any of the cliques so I was looked down on by the preppies and the jocks... Yet now they are managers at Walmart or Pennies and I have my own business...

And I don't plan on going to any in the future...

I went to my 10 year and that was the last one. I came to the realization that most of the people I didn't care about seeing in school, so why should I pay the outrageous ticket price for the dinner/party to see these same people. I may go if there was a free event, but there were none with any of my reunions.

I guess I came from a closer group of classmates, I was born and raise with all 30 of my classmates. Heck I even shared my birthday with three of them, for our 5th we all had a party out on the lake outside our hometown many came back. I havent seen most of them since graduation so it was great catching up with them.

I got bothered to go to my 10 year a couple of months ago, they had lame plans about going to a bar the first night, probily another bar the next night then to round it out, go picknicking/grilling at Lake Manawa.

Fuck a whole bunch of that.

I went to most of mine. Usually going to a party after that was pretty good. The reunions themself kinda stink, but it serves as a good starting point to get a close group of friends together.

I don't go because I went to 3 different high schools and the one I graduated from doesn't exist anymore.

If I really wanna know what people are up to, I'll Google them or do a search on Facebook.

I almost choked on my coffee this morning when he called. I'll stop by his house some time this week and tell him I can't make it.

If I tell him I'm not interested in going he is the type that will bug me and bug me to convince me that I need to go. It will be easier to just make up some bullshit excuse and not go.

They are talking about a Thursday-Sunday reunion with a golf tournament, zoo excursion, riverboat dinner cruise and other stuff.

The golf outing might be cool. But the rest of it, blah.

My 20th class reunion was a couple of years ago and the cost of the tickets were $60 for each person, just for dinner on one of the nights. That's too much money to see people I care nothing about. I say skip the reunion and go out see a band with your buddies, have a few beers, and you'll have a hell of alot more fun than going to a lame reunion.
