I changed the raffle a little bit....

The jackpot was 100 Throcks, now its 50. The cost is the same (10 Throcks), the minimum number of tickets to be purchased before drawing is 5.

Before, you could buy 5 tickets to the raffle for 50 T's, and if nobody else bought any, you'd win 100 T's. Maybe that's fair, maybe it isn't, let's discuss.

Now, if you want to throw down 50 T's for 5 tickets, the most you'll win is 50 T's (minus Taxes!)

The "pick a number between 1 and 100" lottery still works the same, and carries over the jackpot if nobody is a winner in the drawing.

If anybody has a better raffle idea, let me know. thanks.

And oh shit, I just realized I bought 10 raffle tickets at 10 T's a piece.

More changes, updated in the previous post.

Anybody, including guests, spiders, and bots, that view your thread you create will get .05 Throcks. I may adjust this upwards depending on the results. It could give a person upwards of 50 throcks a day.
I'm moderating donations so that accounts won't be created for the sole purpose of a quick way to get a bunch of Throcks.
A maximum of 20 tickets per lottery drawing is in effect.

Also added a new way to earn some throckage.

When somebody rates a thread, they receive 1 Throck. The person that started the rated thread also receives some Throckage, based on the rating the person gave the thread.
1 star - .25 Throcks
2 stars - .50 Throcks
3 stars - .75 Throcks
4 stars - 1 Throck
5 stars - 1.25 Throcks.

I turned off moderation/approval of donations by me because I wasn't getting notified of any pending approvals. I also scaled back the nickle for thread views to a penny because I think it can get out of control. I got 50 Throcks just from visitors, spiders, and bots in a day.

Yeah, but the "giver" only gets 1 star. The difference between a poor rating and a great rating is 1 Throck, given to the thread starter.

I mean, yeah, some buddies can artificially inflate each other's throcks a little at a time, but thread ratings take just as long as posting. But if you're like me, I give 2ox all 1 star ratings.

I know what you mean, and I can track who rates what. The goal is to give people askeered of posting a means to accumulate a few Throcks for the eventual arcade changes that will require Throcks to play.

If I see a lot of suspicious ratings (which I don't think anybody really pays attention to anyway), I'll make some changes, unless of course, 2ox is the victim.

Bud pointed out that ratings would give you more than 1 throck each. I've fixed that, but I had to disable the "give throcks to the thread owner" piece to make it work. I'll work with it and see what I borked up.

There is a bug in the current release that isn't doing that, and it doesn't seem to be sending PM's when you win one of the lotteries.
