NOTE: Everybody's Throcks are in limbo, the amount you have right now is play money. Once this system is ironed out, everybody will be reset to 100 throcks. You cannot get your millions of throcks back that you may have had on the old system. I'm sorry I couldn't convert them.

I've added a new Throck system (vBCredits) which has a lot more functions and features than the old vbplaza system. So much so that I haven't figured out all the settings yet, and many are disabled simply because I don't understand what they do.

The bookie system, and arcade, still aren't included in this system yet until I take a look and see what are fair amounts for interest, paychecks, and the like. The casino is tied into the Throck system though, and you can win or lose actual Throck money there. Because we're starting over with a new economy system, I've reset the statisics of the casino (biggest winner/loser), and also removed the 50,000 and 10,000 chip options from play, until we need them again.

Your throck total is listed at the top right of the page, under the "Private Messages" link.

You can also access the other various features at Todd and Tyler Unauthorized Forums

Again, I haven't decided completely on how many credits to assign to groups, but you will earn credits for visiting the site, creating threads, posting to threads, and rating threads at the minimum.

A simple (true) lottery (pick a number from 1 to 100) is installed that carries over the jackpot when it isn't won, winners split the jackpot.

There is also a loan option if you want to play with that, I haven't done much with it other than activate it.

Donations should work between members, don't settle any bets yet you may have as I may be adjusting credit totals for members, interest rates, fees, etc.

Instead of gifts, you can give a throck from the "petty cash"/Central Account to people for posts that you like. You do that by clicking the gold coin underneath their name. This "petty cash" is generated from all the taxes.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I'll be adjusting things here and there and probably resetting everybody's totals at some point in the future, so don't get alarmed, and play away.

No, I wasn't able to completely convert all the vbplaza stuff to vbcredits, I tried for a few days, and although there's a converter, I think there were some other database differences between the two that didn't work out for some reason.

The "post award" feature which normally can be used to reward a user for a "great post" obviously can be abused, and although I have set limits on it, they don't see to take for some reason, or I have a setting messed up with it. I have moderation turned for those post awards now, just to put a level of checks and balances in it.

We'll give it a week, before I reset everybody to 100 Throcks. I want to make sure everything (Arcade, vbookie, casino) is working with it, and there are fair paychecks, interest rates, and so on.

I think everybody is going to start at 100 as a baseline. You can accumulate throcks easy by posting, rating threads, and creating threads, as well as earn them through sticking around on the site. That's how its going to start.

vbookie jackpots are gonna be limited until we figure out a fair balance between the rich and the poor, and a lot of people are using the arcade for free, and not participating in the main part of the message board, which is pissing me off something FIERCE!

We can always throw more throcks in the mix if people go bankrupt (mike)

Well...is there a way to tie the cost of playing in the arcade to the frequency someone posts?....you could up the cost of the games for those who don't post...and have it automatically lower the more they post......

I'm resetting everybody back to 100 Throcks this morning, I think I have everything working except the arcade pay system at the moment.

Because I don't think we've reached a payday yet, I'll keep an eye on those to see if their out of whack or anything. Has anybody seen any results from the drawings/lotteries?

I've reset the tax on lottery winning to 5%.

Yes, you already get 1 Throck for each post, including a paycheck, birthday Throcks, etc. I'll put in a system similar to what was in for the old system in which it costs a Throck or 2 to play.

Update: As of right now, everybody should have been reset to 100 Throcks and no savings, that is the amount you get for registering on the site, so good luck! Please let me know if you have any questions or problems, I'll detail the exact Throck system in the FAQ, which needs to be rewritten for the new system.

Some basic Throck information, and how to get them...

THESE ARE NOT SET IN STONE, BUT REPRESENT THE CURRENT THROCK SYSTEM

Registering on this site - 100 Throcks
Posting to a thread - 1 Throck
Rating a thread - 1 Throck
Creating a new thread or poll - 3 Throcks
Getting a reply post to your thread - 1 Throck
Anybody views your profile - .01 Throcks
Anybody views your thread - .01 Throcks
Voting on a poll - 1 Throck
Referring a friend who signs up - 2 Throcks
Weekly Paycheck - 10 Throcks
Daily activity Credit - visit the site once a day, 2 Throcks
Birthday - 10 Throcks
Give "thanks" to a post - .01 Throck, and poster receives .01 Throck

You can also win throcks in the Casino, Bud's Bookie events, or the lottery, or have somebody donate you some Throcks. You can buy a maximum of 20 lottery tickets per drawing.

There is also the ability to get a loan for some Throcks (up to 1000), and set up automatic payments to that account.

Although there is no longer a "thief" option for somebody (Bud8fan/Bud) to steal your throcks, you can put them into savings, and earn interest if your savings total is over 500 Throcks.

Donations, bank transfers, lottery winnings, and other stuff is subject to a tax, which goes into a Central Account for the system, which has been disabled at the moment to find something to do with it.
