| Re: 70's bands Quote: 'Thats why this era is the best in music history'. I would agree. I would also add Tom Petty & The Hertbreakers to the list. Tom Petty & Mike Cambell are the foundation for The Heartbreakers. With original bass player Ron Blair back in the lineup ..its a much better unit. Nothing against Howie Epstien who unfortunately lost his battle with drug addiction...and drummer Stan Lynch who left to pursue other opps. Steve Ferrone brings a great drummimg sound to the band. He's a little more focused when you hear him live. Unlike Stan who in his last years with the band knew it was time to make a decision..it showed in his playing. |

| Re: 70's bands Lynyrd Skynyrd-R&R Hall Of Fame Ted Nugent-Someday AC/DC- R&R Hall Of Fame I like the 'Ted The Sledge' Era/76-80. Cat Scratch,Scream Dream,Double Live Gonzo. His band in those days were tight . Today's Ted is hangin' in TX with his buddy up north in OK Toby Keith ..thats cool and all but I like to remember Ted in the 70's..well spoken guy ~tho. Another 70's band ......The Doobie Bros...now there's a band that needs to be in the R&R Hall Of Fame. A great band to see live ..even today ..Pat Simmons/Tom Johnston ...leading the Doob's into the 21st century ! Ever hear Neils Fandango ?..great guitar playin' |
