I recently fixed a couple of things in the arcade. The leader board has been automagically corrected. It got some totals screwed up during the last update.

TNT_Tony was most affected by this score increase, for no apparent reason, I think he was just the lucky guy that got a lot of the points assigned because he was currently at the top of the list.

Let me know if you notice anything peculiar.

Also, if anybody is interested in an arcade "tournament", let me know, and I'll set it up, based on a random game, or the most popular game, or possibly all the games.

The top 8 people from the leaderboard have been PM'd to partake in an Asteriods tournament.

I'm testing the tournament functionality, as I've heard there are some bugs in it.

The "leaderboard" bug still exists, awarding points to people for no apparent reason other than the fact that they played a game. The leaderboard stats can be recomputed manually, but the automatic processing doesn't seem to work accurately at the moment.

I created another test tournament with Kaboom (and invited myself to it) to see if there are problems with both 4 and 8 man tournaments, or if its just limited to certain number of players.

If you're interested in creating your own tournament, let me know, and after the bugs get fixed, I'll create some more.

Also, visitors should now be able to play the arcade, although there scors won't be registered.

I plan to clean up the arcade, and remove one or more of the lame games, and replace them with something better.

I tried to play Asteroids in the tournament, but the floating hearts caused the game to stutter.

Well I played in the Asteroids tournament and it says I played 3 out of 3 times even though I only played twice. I can't believe how poorly I did. I got nowhere near my highscore.

What the hell is going on with the Space Invaders high scores? It says there is a new champion, yet there is no name. Also when you look at the top 10 high scores, it still says I'm #1.

ahhh... I got an email on that. I didn't think it would register, but it got the score, but not the person.

While "cruz" was playing, his session timed out! (remember to check that 'remember me' button when logging in!), so he has the high score. I'll fix it.

I don't think I can fix it, it didn't keep score because the session timed out.

When playing for a long time, make sure you've signed in and checked the "remember me?" box next to the log in box, that will make sure you stay signed in, and your session won't time out.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a glitch. I didn't want to end up playing for 2 hours non stop to reclaim my high score if it wasn't necessary.

there is a problem with registering high scores in the arcade. If an "unregistered member" scores a high score, it registers the score, but not the name. Donnie noticed that happen with one of the games in the arcade lately. I'll try to fix it, but don't know if I can.

There is also a bug with people sometimes getting logged out while playing a long ass game, that has been documented, and should be fixed in the next version. As well as fixes to the tournament feature, and the ability for anybody to create their own tournament with up to 8 members.

A new arcade version is supposed to come out "soon".
