Here are the best games of 2007 according to X-Play.

Most original game - Portal

Best art direction - Bioshock

Best strategy game - Supreme Commander

Best original soundtrack - Bioshock

Best sports game - Forza Motorsport 2

Best sound design - Call of Duty 4

Best shooter - Call of Duty 4

Best gameplay innovation - Assassins Creed

Best action/adventure game - Super Mario Galaxy

Best RPG - Mass Effect

Best animation - Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction

Best new character - GLaDOS - Portal

Best downloadable content - Pacman: Championship Edition

Best writing/story - Bioshock

Best multiplayer game - Rockband

Game of the year - Bioshock

The only game I've played out of all of those is Super Mario Galaxy.

I was playing a lot of Halo 3 multiplayer until I got Call of Duty 4. For some reason, I like CoD 4's multiplayer better.

Maybe because you can unlock equipment and abilities the more experience you get playing CoD 4. On Halo, you just get a nicer looking badge.

The best game I played in which the movie sucked ass was The Chronicles of Reddick.

I picked up Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for the Wii at Target for $37. It is a lot of fun. It has things I like it better then the first one. There are only a couple things I prefer from #1. I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a fun, multiplayer game that you can laugh at.

I got Contra 4 three days ago. I beat it on normal, but have only gotten to level 5 on hard. This game can be pretty hard at times.

I unlocked and beat Contra and Super C. The only thing I don't like is how the volume goes down when you play either of them. Contra 4 is loud and clear, but these two games are too quiet. Maybe it's an emulation problem.

This game also features a challenge mode. I've beaten 30 out of the 40 missions so far.

Overall this is a great game that any Contra fan should play.

I beat Contra 4 on hard three times. The third time I still had 13 lives leftover when I beat the game. I think I've pretty much mastered this game.

Beating all 40 challenges on challenge mode took me a lot longer than it took to beat the main game on hard.

I was playing a lot of CoD4 because I really like the multiplayer (and there are more adults) than Halo 3. But I ended up getting Mass Effect (which I hadn't heard much of) for Christmas, and its a deep RPG game set in the future.

It looks like Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed for the second time. The release date went from Feb. 10th to March 9th. I was fairly certain it would be delayed again.

The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu gave the Japanese version of SSBB a perfect score of 40/40. It's only the 7th game in the magazines 20+ year history to get a perfect score.

The Japanese version of SSBB comes out on Jan 31st.

X-Play reviewed both of those earlier. Burnout Paradise got a 4 out of 5 and No More Heroes got a 5 out 5 which surprised me.

I loved the Burnout series, but the demo for Burnout Paradise drove me batty, so that's gonna be a rent. I still have a ton of Tiger Woods 08, Call of Duty 4, and Mass Effect to finish. That's too many games to keep up with for an old guy.

X-Play gave "God of War: Chains of Olympus" a 5 out of 5. Sadly I won't be able to play it due to a lack of owning a PSP.

Does anyone here own a PSP?
