Is anyone planning on going to a Royals game in the near future? I'm loving that it is baseball time again!

Going to spring game Saturday. Nephews birthday and we go to game every April - his choice. I love weekday afternoon ORoyals games cause no else is there cept Craig and his kids.

Games are great - especially the afternoon games. You can sit practically anywhere, lines are short, beer is cold, and you're not at work. Oh yeah...and the baseball's pretty good, too. The first afternoon game is Thursday, 4/13.

I wouldn't go to the 4/13 game...that's the kid's day....you'll have students galore.

Trust me, that's not the best environment to get drunk.

I try everyday.

There you go, ladies and gentlemen. Teachergirl thinking about soaking in a day of baseball, supporting the local team, and getting some sun. I mean getting wasted, falling down drunk in front of some of which may be her students.

Beer, sun, baseball, these are the things that make life sweet. Sex and a nice hot bath are up there too, but I was thinking of things you can do in the Royals stadium...wait, no, you could do those other things.

they've got some good promotions this year, i try to make it to a couple of games every year, not including the CWS where I'm a bleacher bum. I think the royals should do a bleacher bum section where tickets are 1-2 dollars and you sit in the outfield.

totally agree teamriot - I have said for years they should promote the ORoyals if they want people to go, especially to teenagers who will grow up loving them. The outfield bums or tickets for kids with good grades or something. Give them to kids who donate time to help with non profit stuff or something. Anything to fill up the stadium on non-firework nights.

If the kids get free tickets, and the parents have to buy a ticket or 2, plus concessions has to be better than empty seats.

I like the fireworks and the half price drink nights, but those only keep people during the game, you need promo's to get people in those seats. They're starting 2 for 1 ticket's and free seat cushion promo nights now and i think they're really gonna get more people to go. To be honest I haven't gone as much as i'd hoped in recent years but maybe these will entice me to go a few more times each year. More Royals games and More Golfing are my two goals this summer.

I want to spend more time outside this year myself, (like you said,if possible). I just love the sun, dont do the pool, I go fishing to get mine. I get time in the sun, and time to clear my head at the same time.
