Callahan sure can not Coach in big games. Then he turns around and blames his players by saying we are not as talented. Taleneted or not the Huskers lost at least 2 games to Top 10 teams due to coaching idiot errors!

I am glad he is bringing in the talent. Then maybe a real leader will coach the Huskers back to where they belong!

I want a Top 10 team every year!

You want realistic?? With Callahan calling plays we may never crack the Top 25! Much less the Top 10! I think he would be a great offensive coordinator, but I have serious doubts as a head coach...

In case you didn't notice, we spent 95% of this past season in the top 25.

The Huskers were #22 before the Cotton Bowl, they will most likely drop out of the Top 25 for the final poll. The final poll is truly the one that matters.

It will take time, how much? I can't answer that, but he is slowly improving year after year. I, like alot of fans out there, are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and be a LITTLE patient. Trust me, my patience runs out as well, but I'm not ready to give up yet.

Mike, I agree with you to a certain extent. I am not ready to throw him out. Yet! But he better learn from his mistakes. And, i do not have faith that he will...

Anyway, here is a problem that I see. As a head coach he has let big leads slip away and was the cause of 2 losses by himself. He can blame the lack of talent all he wants. But the fact of the matter is that our talent the last 2 games (Oklahoma and Auburn) had the statistical advantage in both games. In my opinion Coach lost those games. I actually feel bad for Cosgrove and the D. They closed out the season playing championship defense. Callahan closed out the season with Chumpionship play calling.

I think having someone else call the plays would be a solution, or at least a change in the right direction. Because, what the hell does Norvell do? He doesn't call plays, so what does he do?

I'm not here to bash on your comments, but I would like to say that this is not his first season. This was his third, he should pretty much have all the talent he should need. However, I have only seen a little improving here and there. He'll improve in one area yet, decline in another. This season had it's share of ups and downs, and looked great towards the end. Then he shit it all away. He got us to the Big XII championship, OK great. Biggest decline I have seen of this team yet. This could have easily been a 10 win season yet he failed miserably.

I will give him until next season. It will be his fourth season, every player on the team should have been recruited by him. The thing I keep thinking about is what Pedersen said when he hired him, was that the Huskers were not going to become a team of mediocrity, and Callahan was suppose to save it from that. Well, I feel that is all the Huskers are now.

You spoiled little brats. So easy are you to forget how long it took Bob Devaney, and T.O. to win a championship.

He (Callahan) worked with 7 recruits from the old coach this year, and that was just on defense. Next year, that number will be 3. And that is just on defense!

Again, he IS getting better as the years go by, look at the records. Don't bitch because he's not giving you what you want right now. Trust me, the minute he goes south as far as a season goes, I will be the first to bitch. I bitched when he got hired. But , I decided to give him a chance.

Yes, the team is getting better. But, the coaching still sucks! Who calls a fake punt, no a fake reverse punt inside your own 20.

Like I have already pointed out earlier, Callahan needs to pass the play calling to Norvell. Give the man a job.

Those kind of plays are always a gamble... If it had worked people would have freaked out and thought Callahan was a God. But, instead, it didn't so people are bitching about it....
