Tuesday 1-4-00

Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show discussing a variety of topics. Because they were home for the first Monday night in many months, the guys had a chance to flip around the tube. The quickly discovered what non-football fans have known all along. There is absolutely nothing worth a damn on Monday night TV. Tyler and his girlfriend opted to watch a “man bad” movie on Lifetime. After the movie, they went to bed. At some point in the night, Becky began to talk in her sleep. It frightened Tyler because Becky seemed quite mad about something. He could only assume she was dreaming about the “man bad” movie that they’d just watched and was putting him in the place of the “man bad” man in the movie. They also talked about how lame TV is going to be for the remainder of the week as shows might still be on Christmas break. Brian Houston, sitting in for Lisa, did a story on cock fighting so TnT discussed with him the perfect cock ring. So with that, the phone lines were opened and listeners began calling in with discussions about the various topics: watching Lifetime with your girlfriend/wife, sleeptalking/sleepwalking stories and lame TV shows.

Larry the Cable Guy called this morning and delivered a commentary on UFOs. Larry pondered why such intelligent beings would take the time to abduct the most redneck, inbred, trailer trash people and analy probe them. Comments like “little green sodomizer” and freaks with “an ass fetish” were tossed around throughout the very humorous commentary. Larry will probably check in again later this week so stay tuned.

Lisa called in from Arizona again this morning. It wasn’t 1 minute into the call before TnT were playing more “fat cards” on her friend Stevie Nicks. The guys tried to talk Lisa in to letting them interview Stevie but their attempt didn’t work. Lisa is never going to come through for the guys. Before the conversation ended, Lisa made a reference to Travis “spooning” her in a Phoenix hotel room at some point over the weekend. Travis, proud yet worried, didn’t comment much on Lisa’s statement. Lisa said she might not be checking in later on in the week in hopes that she can avoid more Stevie Nicks flapjack jokes.

The guys called their winner of the Super Bowl trip this morning. Her name is Lisa Urtin (the last name might be spelled incorrectly) from Omaha and she was quite exited to hear the news. She said that even though she and her husband are Denver fans, they’d still be very happy to go to this year’s Super Bowl. It was nice seeing someone from Omaha win and actually get excited about a prize TnT were giving out. Congratulations Lisa.

Towards the end of the show, the guys started getting calls relating to their talking in your sleep topic discussed early in the show. There were some really great stories. One guy told TnT about a college roommate who’d gotten naked and walked into the elevator of the dorm. He stayed there asleep until the following morning (which happened to be Parents Visiting Day). There were several calls from people telling tales of their friends/family/lovers peeing the bed and/or getting up to pee in various places while still asleep. Those calls were just disturbing. The calls that seemed to be of most interest to TnT were the ones regarding sleeping women. One woman called in and said she has “wet dreams”, something TnT didn’t know women could do. They asked for more calls confirming the phenomenon and they got such calls.

Probably the most memorable call of the day came from a man who said he’d put his wife’s hand onto his throck while she was sleeping and then coax her sleeping arm into twisting him off. He said he’d done it for nearly a week before he finally told her what he’d been having her do in her sleep. Needless to say, that man is no longer married to the woman. That call spawned a serious morality discussion with the folks in studio. Tyler and Brian didn’t see much of a problem with it because they were a married couple and “it’s not like he was raping her or anything. She was his wife!” Todd, on the other hand, felt that because the woman was asleep and “not into it” at the time, it was just wrong. Either way, it was still a funny story.

To end the show, TnT had a conversation with their comedy buddy Adam Farerra. He’s going to be on Letterman tonight so TnT talked to him about how he is preparing for the appearance. They also talked briefly about how Adam celebrated the holidays and the New Year. TnT might be giving him a call tomorrow to find out more details of Adam’s Letterman appearance tonight so make sure to tune in for that.
