| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 01-05-2000 Wednesday 1-5-00 The show started off this morning with a happy birthday to Todd from TnTs lawyer buddy Michael. The birthday discussion was shot out of the sky quicker than an US airliner over Afghanistan and wasnt brought up again for the remainder of the show. Todd, happy birthday. Anyway, Michael also came in studio later in the show and brought the guys a Spinners greatest hits CD which was used as bumper music throughout the rest of the show. Dr. Ed came in this morning and hung out for a few hours. He talked with TnT about a variety of medical related topics. There were some strange calls for Doctor Ed including a one from a caller who wanted to know the medical term for buggers and someone wondering if shoving an air hose into your butt, turning it on, filling up your gut and then expelling gas for 2 minutes would have any adverse side effects. Dr. Ed will be returning in a few weeks so if you didnt get the chance to check in with him today, you will in the future. Todd and Tyler spoke with comedian Jeff Foxworthy this morning. They discussed his television show which lasted 2 years, spent some time talking about his standup act and talked about the Blue Collar tour that will be kicking off in Omaha on the 14th. The guys mentioned their mutual friend Bill Engvall who will be playing at the Civic on January 14th with Foxworthy, Ron White and Craig Hawksley. For a big-time star in the realm of comedy, I must say that Jeff was incredibly nice to TnT and really seemed to enjoy talking with them. That interview will definitely end up on the Best Of shows on Saturday so tune in if you missed it today. Oh yea, one more note of interest. Tyler biffed it during the end of the interview when he mistakenly called Jeff Bill. LOL. Honest mistake but still quite funny. Lisa checked in from Arizona again this morning. Ill give Tyler credit
his Stevie Nicks is fat jokes flew out in record time. Lisa had to have been on the phone for less than 1 second before the fat jokes started coming. It was hilarious. The guys talked with Lisa about what shell be doing in Phoenix today (shopping, of course) and then they sang some Spinners tunes for her. Shell probably check back in tomorrow. Towards the end of the show, TnT spoke to the coach of the new Omaha Beef indoor football team. His name is Sandy Budda and he used to coach for UNO some years back. Anyway, the guys had a very interesting conversation with Sandy about the upcoming team. They discussed some of the rules of indoor football and compared the differences between it and arena football. It seemed to me that both Todd and Tyler think the Beefs indoor football league is an over all better product than that of arena football. Before the conversation ended, Sandy mentioned that they will be having open tryouts coming up in the next week or two (to be announced later) for anyone in the area who wants to see if theyre good enough to be on the team. Thats all Ive got for the update today. Check back here tomorrow for the Thursday version. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. the guy who writes all this stuff down- |
