TnT started off their show this morning talking about how hot it was in the studio. They all started taking off layers of clothing and revealed that Tyler was wearing a wife-beater, Todd had on a sleeveless disco T-shirt and Donnie was wearing a belly shirt. It really didn’t have any relevance to what was going to go on during the show until they said they were having Byron, the Queen of Avoca, come in and do the sports report for Travis. After that, there were plenty of jokes flying about how each of the guys had subconsciously dressed for Byron.

TnT replayed the interview with Major Applewhite this morning. They figured they’d give Husker fans the chance to listen to the quarterback of the team they’ll be playing tomorrow just one more time before the game. I truly believe that TnT enjoy hearing the collective puckering of Husker Fan asses statewide. I happen to think it’s pretty funny too.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning. Before he began, TnT talked with him about how the prices for bands and such are all going up on New Years Eve this year because of the Millenium. They informed Larry because he’ll be playing our Funny Bone that night. They wanted to make sure he asked the Bone for more cashola. Larry’s commentary was about strange phrases in football commentating. He rambled on for a bit about “tight ends” and “wide receivers” and then finished up today’s commentary with a resounding “Go Huskers!”

After the calls TnT received from Byron, the Queen of Avoca, yesterday, they decided they’d bring him in studio this morning and sit in for Travis on sports. Even though there were many other topics and things going on throughout the show this morning, Byron seemed to be the center of the show. They talked about gay stuff and plenty of homosexual jokes were made by all. There were lots of calls from Avoca from people supporting Byron. Unfortunately, there was one call from a lady who bashed him and called him a pedophile. After her call, even more support for Byron came pouring in and most of the supporters were females. “Gay dudes get all the chicks”. Byron was a very cool addition to the show this morning and made for a nice change of pace. I’m sure he’ll continue to call in as time goes on so stay tuned for more.

Vick Henley from the Funny Bone came in studio today. He’s from Alabama and spent the morning interjecting various funny thoughts into the conversations. Vick left me with a pretty odd visual, however. Picture a Southern white guy jacked up on Ecstasy dancing in a New York lesbian club in ~1980. Again, Vick was very funny so make sure you stop on out to the Funny Bone this weekend for his show. Call 493-8036 for reservations.

Travis checked in from the Dallas airport this morning to share his Lock and Box of the week. He chose the Huskers to cover the points. His Box of the Week was Byron! It was a pretty funny choice considering that Travis was giving Byron a hard time over the phone.

Lisa Volinec was out at 144th and Oakview Drive this morning again collecting money for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. She, Slave Boy Chris and Barb the Prize Lady were out there all morning taking donations and scaring away real bums. They didn’t give a dollar amount for total donations they received today but it had to be upwards of $500. Thanks to all who donated!

The Owner of the Lancers, Ted Baer, stopped by this morning to talk a little Lancers Hockey with TnT. He didn’t get much time to discuss the team because there was so much going on. There was enough time, however, for a quick wallet check. Todd wanted to see if there was anyone in the room who had more cash in their wallet than Ted. As it turns out, Todd had Ted beat by $9 (only because he allegedly won a bet). Stop on out and see the Lancers this weekend.

Todd and Tyler will be hosting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s benefit tonight at the Double Tree hotel. Stop on out for the event and donate lots of money. The guys will also be at Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday around 1pm for a Husker game party. Drop by for the excitement and feel free not to tip the bitchy busboys (allegedly).
