Wednesday 10-27-99

Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show talking about a variety of topics. They touched on Jim Gray (the a-hole reporter who asked Pete Rose the gambling questions a few nights ago) and took some more calls regarding the subject. I guess Jim tried to apologize last night but was still stiffed by some of the players for interviews. Todd also informed us that he’s decided on a Halloween costume for this year’s Freakers Ball (taking place Friday night at the AmeriSports bar). He’s going as a digitally scrambled hooker! Todd says he’s not really into the whole dressing up thing but he’s come up with the best costumes the last few years. TnT also spent a bit of time talking about Hoyte Akston. He’s the guy who wrote “Joy to the World” and countless other hits made famous by other people singing them. I only knew Hoyte as the fat, old guy who played the father that brought home Gizmo in “Gremlins”. Anyway, they talked about him for a bit and played a few of the songs he’d recorded.

Mark Lemon from the Funny Bone came in and hung out with TnT for a bit. He’s going to be the Featured Act this week so look for him in between two other dudes. LOL, that just sounded funny. He said he’s going as a black, bald man for Halloween, which isn’t much of a stretch for him because he is a black, bald man. He hung out throughout the show and seemed to enjoy his stay with TnT. His alter ego, Willie Johnson, also made an appearance today a few times.

After yesterday’s discussion about Ally McBeal having sex in a car wash, TnT started pushing for car wash sex participants early on. It didn’t take them long to get a volunteering couple. The couple, Heather and Jeff, came to the studio to pick up a cell phone for the bit. Then they went to a car wash on Maple Street somewhere and got in line to do the deed. When they arrived, they checked in and told TnT that there was a car in front of them but no one behind them. They waited for the car to finish as TnT prepped them for exactly what they wanted the couple to do. Their instructions were to start in the car and then move outside the car and onto the hood.

Once they got into the car wash, things seemed to get a little hectic. The car was going to be pulled along a track while the brushes went at it and it didn’t seem like it would take very long. So, Heather and Jeff decided to just jump out of the car, step to the side and take care of that while the car was pulled along the track. They both jumped out into the very cold water. She was screaming about how cold it was and it was a bit hard to tell whether or not they were doing anything yet. Well, TnT tried to coax some details out of them and succeeded. Heather screamed that they were “doing it doggie” standing up and continued screaming from the pleasure and cold water and soap that had covered her and her mate. The whole event lasted just over a minute but was quite funny. After the car wash had finished up, the couple jumped back into the car. TnT wanted to know if Jeff had finished up also. He said he didn’t and blamed it on the cold water on his nads.

After the car wash sex was aired, TnT received quite a few calls. Most of the calls were from people who either wanted to comment on how hot it was or from guys who wanted TnT to replay it so they could finish up. Later in the show, Heather and Jeff showed up to talk about it in person and they were both drenched. To appease the audience, TnT replayed the audio and let Jeff and Heather hear themselves. It was pretty amusing. I’m sure the audio clip of car wash sex will surface again soon so stay tuned.

The band 3D came in for a while today. If you’re unfamiliar with their work, they are an 80’s glam flashback sort of band who dress up like old 80’s stars and play old 80’s cover tunes. It’s a great concept and after hearing them, they make it work. Anyway, they came in and talked about the band for a bit and then started in on a song. Due to some technical difficulties, the first song didn’t come off that entirely well. The singer’s mike sounded distant and there was some odd crackling feedback. After taking a commercial break and getting everything all rearranged, TnT came back and 3D two great sounding songs. One was from Cinderella and the other from Bon Jovi. They really did sound great after all the technical glitches had been worked out. 3D will be playing with Cheshire Grin and D’vine at this Friday’s Freakers Ball at the AmeriSports bar so stop on out and see the band.
