Todd and Tyler started this morning’s show by sending the Freak and a few zombies from the Edge of Darkness haunted house out and about. They planned on having the zombies scare awake various unsuspecting listeners turned in by family or friends throughout the show. The first house they stopped at had two sleeping teenaged guys. Freak and the zombies yelled and chainsawed their loudest in an attempt to scare the crap out of the slumbering duo. It turns out that one kid slept right through it. The other one woke up and gave the intruders a look that said nothing more than “you’re friggin crazy”. It wasn’t quite the response that TnT were hoping for so they opted to send the gang to other houses. The second victim of their prank was a 10-year-old boy suggested by his father. When the zombies and Freak got there, they began doing their thing again. According to the Freak, the boy awoke and then fearfully pulled the blanket over his head. Afterwards, TnT spoke to the kid to see if he was okay. The kid lead on as though it really didn’t bother him at all. Again, not quite the climactic response TnT were looking for so they sent the zombies and Freak out one more time.

For the final attempt at their zombie wake-up call they figured they’d better arouse a woman. The Freak happened to know that one of his female friends would still be asleep so the group went to her place. They snuck in and began to make their noise in an attempt to scare her. Well, they succeeded because she woke up swinging! They scared her so bad that she started throwing punches a connected with one of the zombies. The Freak kept yelling “Zombie down, zombie down!” He’d caught it in his good eye. TnT spoke to the Freak’s friend after everything had settled down. He was definitely scared. It was quite funny and TnT seemed quite pleased with the success of the bit at that point.

The Channel 7 Players came in studio this morning. Bill Ramby, Julie Cornell, John “Poop” Schuets and Rob McCartney came in to take part in the second annual TnT Radio Play. This year’s play was titled “Hangman’s Roost”. Donnie manned the sound effects while the quad played their parts. This year’s play was not interrupted by commercials as last year's was so it seemed to go quite a bit faster. In reality, I think they were about the same length. Anyway, I won’t detail the play but I will say that everyone did an amazing job and made the whole thing sound great. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and tune into Saturday’s “Best Of” show and catch the clip. It was awesome (except for the really horrible footstep sound effects).

TnT finally got a hold of Lisa Volinec’s mom today. They tried all morning yesterday but were unsuccessful. Once they spoke to her, they asked her which of her two daughters were her favorite. She wouldn’t comment on which was her favorite but did say that she had 5 pictures of the sisters together and 1 each of them alone. Then she started ragging on TnT about calling her, gave Tyler a hard time for showing some heart at the CF Foundation benefit last week and complained about the Husker loss. Yea, Lisa’s mom really seems like a happy camper. My god…

Cheshire Grin came in studio this morning and played a few tunes for TnT. They did a cool and spooky version of “Message in a Bottle” as well as another cover song or two. They really sounded great and if you missed them, make sure to get to the Freaker’s Ball tonight. They’ll be playing there with 3D and D’Vine. It should be cool.

Travis’s Lock of the week is Oklahoma at Colorado giving the Buffs 3 ½ points. I must say that his Box of the Week this time was much better than last week. His choice was Courtney Love of Hole. Tyler seemed to disagree with that a little. I can see why but then again, I can see why Travis picked her. Especially after Todd reminded everyone of the “dead and bloated Courtney” in that scene from “The People vs. Larry Flint”.

TnT will be attending the Freakers Ball tonight at the AmeriSports bar. If you plan on going to the event, keep in mind that they will have all costume judging completed by 10pm. Show up early in order to be eligible for the contest and prizes. 3D, D’Vine and Cheshire Grin will all be playing at the event. It should be a great time for everyone and hopefully you’ve gotten your tickets already.

The gang will also be at Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday for the Huskers game. White Man’s Overbite will be playing some live music after the game so stop on out and stick around for the party.

Well, it was a great show this morning to cap up the week. They had a great band, they awoke 10-year-olds and scared them and the Radio Play was awesome again.
