Todd and Tyler conducted an interview with Dusty Hill of ZZ Top a few days ago and played it early in this morning’s show. From the way TnT were talking, the interview was horrible. They’d recorded it late in the afternoon and by 5pm, TnT are usually mentally burnt so they were a little worried that the interview was a piece of crap. Well, Donnie went through the tape and pulled out some of the rougher spots, pieced it back together and it turned out to be very interesting. Dusty spoke with TnT about his 30 years with ZZ Top, touring all around the world, all the people he’s played with and more. As you recall, Z-92 gave away a trip to see ZZ Top play on New Years Eve not too long ago. ZZ Top is playing with Lynyrd Skynyrd in Omaha soon also.

After making such a big deal over females with accents during yesterday’s show, it was pretty obvious that a woman becomes exponentially more sexy when she’s got an accent. Well, one of TnT’s listeners named Mark checked in this morning and prompted TnT to call his wife at work. They met at some sort of work function here in Omaha but she’s originally from Scotland. When TnT first spoke to her, you could barely tell she had an accent but as the call went on, it became very obvious (and quite hot).

There was quite a bit of talk about strippers this morning. The reason for this is because a caller checked in early in the show and informed TnT that today is Exotic Dancer day nationwide. TnT took calls from ex-strippers (because current strippers aren’t up before 10am) and got some dirt on what strip clubs are really like. They also talked to some women who’d gone to strip clubs with their men. There were even a few callers that discussed why women don’t like their men going to strip clubs.

With the talk about strippers, it didn’t take long for the wondering eyes of man to become a topic as well. Men naturally look at women even if they already have a beautiful woman on their arm. Tyler’s girlfriend called in to give him a hard time about it because Tyler’s head is always “on a swivel”. It was pretty funny. There was further discussion on the issue as the show progressed.

The guys also did a little trained counseling for a guy who wanted to break up with his girlfriend but didn’t want to hurt her feelings. The call spawned a discussion about breaking up, women who cry and other weird relationship issues. Speaking of weird relationship issues, Travis told a story this morning that shocked everyone but will forever go down in the history books as “The Travis Defense”. Travis’s story started out with his wife being in labor at the hospital with their first child. Things were going a bit rough so the doctors decided to fill his wife with drugs. Well, the drugs knocked her out. The nurse told Trav that she’d be out for about 5 hours. With nothing to do for the next 5 hours while his pregnant wife who was in the process of having a child and was knocked out due to drugs, what does Travis do? He takes his wife’s friggin nurse out to lunch! Every man will now be able to say, “At least what I did wasn’t as bad as Travis” hence, the Travis Defense.

TnT’s comedy friend Mark Gross checked in this morning. He just wanted to say hello to TnT. The guys asked him about the pilot he’s working on but there wasn’t much new news from Mark. He did say, however, that he didn’t enjoy making “figure 8’s around Jay Leno’s balls”.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and gave a commentary based on old people who get “walking farts”. I won’t detail the call but I’m sure you can imagine how it went.

Travis’s Lock of the Week for this weekend is Alabama at home. Trav thinks they’ll win and therefore cover the 5-point spread. His Box of the Week was Claire Danes. Travis, you idiot! Claire Danes is beautiful compared to wolf puss Janeane Garofalo.

Adam Farrara from the Funny Bone came in this morning. He hung out throughout the show and was amazingly funny. Again, I strongly suggest you go to the Bone this weekend for his show. Call 493-8036 for reservations.

TnT are going down to the Husker game on Saturday. Try to find them tailgating in one of the parking lots. They’re going to have plenty of hamburgers and sausages to share. They’ll also be at DJ’s Dugout in Bellevue on Sunday for the Steeler game. If you’re in the area, check that out too.
