Monday 11-15-99

TnT started off this morning’s show by talking about their weekends. They went to Lincoln to tailgate at the Husker game and brought back a few stories that they shared with us. Travis threw a child’s football up onto the highway and according to a listener, he was kind of a jerk to them when they asked Travis for directions to the tailgate party. Todd and Tyler both paced themselves while at the game but ended up falling asleep by 7pm anyway. Donnie and one of Caller 9’s friends got kicked out of the Side Track. Caller 9’s friend was a little drunk and started dancing in the bar. The bouncers promptly threw her out on her can. Donnie tried to stick up for the friend of his girlfriend but ended up getting kicked out too. TnT joked all morning about the situation. It was like a scene from “Footloose” so the guys spent all morning playing “Footloose” music and quoting the movie.

On Friday, TnT got a call from a guy who wanted to find out the best way to break up with his girlfriend. TnT spent a good portion of Friday’s show trying to help the guy out. Well, they ended up helping him more than they knew. By the end of the call on Friday, the guy had come to the conclusion that he’d break up with her over the weekend after a concert. The caller’s soon-to-be-dumped girlfriend was listening and heard the whole show. She called up today to tell TnT about what had happened. She was surprisingly mature about the whole situation. Her reasoning behind it was because she had all Friday to think about everything and prepare herself for it. In fact, she ended up confronting him about what was said on Friday.

The topic of cheating came up again this morning and remained the primary focus of today’s show. TnT took countless calls from both men and women who had cheated. They discussed the “Once a cheater, always a cheater” mentality. Each call from a cheater had different circumstances involved so TnT explored each case one at a time. It was interesting to see Todd and Tyler analyze the structure of relationships in order to determine if cheating is, indeed, embedded in the genes of man and passed down through generations from a distant and primitive time. Wow. That almost sounded reasonably intelligent. Okay, let me get back to a level we’re all comfortable with. People, stop having sex with people you’re not supposed to have sex with.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in and gave TnT a commentary on fat free Pringles. From the sounds of it, the Pringles give Larry serious problems with his butt. It also seems that Larry thinks the Pringles-diarrhea situation is actually a “Commie plot” to take over the country. It was a pretty funny commentary.

Todd and Tyler will be out at Hooter tonight for another Monday Night Football game. The Patriots and the Jets will be playing, there will be declining beer prices and great food specials. The guys will also do another Finger Flicking Field Goal contest and someone will win a TV from NFM. Stop on out and see the guys tonight.
