TnT Show 11-23-1999

Tuesday 11-23-99

TnT started off this morning’s show discussing the strippers that were at the Funny Bone last night. All 3 of the guy’s ladies went to the show last night but Tyler’s girlfriend was actually brought up on stage with the swinging throcks. Rumor has it that every lady who attended got her picture taken with the throcks but for some reason, none of the hosts’ significant others said anything about themselves getting their pictures taken with them; instead the ladies turned in their friends. After hearing some of what went on last night, it seemed that Tyler was a little jealous. His jealousy didn’t last for long, however, because he realized that he now has a trump card. Any time he wants to go see some strippers and Becky starts giving him a hard time, he’ll just whip out the old “You had throck in your face at the Funny Bone” card.

The guys also talked to Barb the Prize lady this morning. Her boyfriend was a bouncer for the Bone last night. From what Barb said, he was a little too drunk to recall anything that went on at the club. Jeremy also came in today and talked about being a “shot boy” for the evening. He seemed to enjoy it and said he got up on stage and took his shirt off before the night was over. I believe Jeremy also mentioned something about getting a few phone numbers while working the crowd.

Theresa Cassidy from the KXVO Kids Club came in studio and hung out with TnT today. She was there to promote her new CD, “I Wish I Was A Fish”. She came back to the TnT show to promote her Warehouse Music visit this Saturday because her last stop to the TnT show brought a large crowd out to see her. With Theresa, there is always talk about what’s hot in the world of little kids. This time, of course, it was Poké Mon. TnT talked about the craze and then took some calls from kids who wanted to brag about their Poké Mon card collections. It was kind of cute. The guys talked to her about other non-kid related things as well but that just prompted Theresa to put up her fake-laugh barrier of protection.

There was a letter printed in the newspaper this morning from a woman who ranted about people eating poor, innocent turkeys. TnT joked about the letter and then discussed why food-producing companies make soy products taste like meat. Why not just eat the meat? The topic fit in pretty well for a couple of reasons. First of all, the guys were talking food and got a visit from their buddy Gene from the Brass Grille (1207 Harney). Secondly, the reason for Gene’s visit was judge the turkey-carving contest that they’d arranged for today.

Towards the end of the show, Slave Boy Chris, Gene and Joe from Bluehouse call went out to the parking lot. Several listeners showed up with their chainsaws and took part in the turkey-carving contest. The frozen birds were put on the ground and then each contestant went to work on it with his chainsaw. Gene did the play-by-play for the event. After all the carving was done, Donnie showed up in the parking lot with a hammer. He, too, went to town on a frozen turkey and beat the stuffing out of it (sorry, bad play on words). In the end, everyone was covered in turkey and Gene announced the winner. His name was….um…Steve Jackson. It was actually pretty funny and the guys got some decent audio from the event. It may end up being replayed later in the week so stay tuned.

Tomorrow, TnT are going to do the Yam Jam at Sunset Speedway. Take your potato guns out there bright and early to take part in the contest. More details will be given at the beginning of the show so make sure you get up early and tune in.

That’s all for today’s update. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. –the Alien Guy-
