Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning by telling everyone to be careful. The roads were covered in a sheet of ice and made driving into work quite a pain. So TnT called their loved ones to tell them how icy the roads were. The guys even got a hold of Lisa Volinec’s mom today. It has been a while sense TnT actually spoke with Carol Ann. I’d forgotten how nice and sweet she is every time TnT talk to her. Wait, what am I talking about? Carol Ann comes off incredibly abrasive and seems like a complete pain in the ass every time TnT get her on the air! Anyway, the guys discussed what has been going on in her life and then they all spent some time ragging on Lisa. Carol Ann gave Lisa crap about being out so late all the time. That’s right, Lisa who’s, what, 31 now is still latched onto the purse strings of her momma.

Also among the general chatter of this morning’s show, there was some football talk. Todd’s Vikings and Donnie’s Colts both lost this weekend getting them knocked out of their quest for the Super Bowl. That just made Tyler giddy all day. Tyler said he enjoyed the Colts being knocked out more than the Vikings but he sure seemed to talk more about Todd’s Vikings loss. Todd detailed his trip to St. Louis and took a few calls throughout the show from Vikings fans blaming him for the loss. There was some talk about airplane bins and how some people (“bin hogs”) take up too much space. That discussion lead to a wonderful impression of a pig by Donnie. Really, between Donnie’s pig noise and the amazing “drip” noise he does, someone should really offer that guy a job doing sound effects…in LA or New York or friggin Istanbul. Speaking of Donnie, the guys got another e-mail from someone proclaiming that the Saturday’s “Best of TnT” has turned into the “Best of Donnie”. That made Donnie furious. TnT joked with him about it for the remainder of the show but it was pretty obvious that Donnie was mad about the listener’s e-mail.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave a commentary on John Rocker being an idiot. He’s the baseball player who made the racist comments and Larry thought that it would be a good idea to badmouth him today because it’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

As I mentioned earlier in the show, TnT were discussing the weather and the icy roads. Well, Travis called in about an hour before sports and said he wasn’t going to be able to make it to work due to the ice. Donnie made it in, Todd made it in, Tyler made it in, Lisa made it in, J Medicinehat made it in and even TnT’s new intern “Pudd’in” made it in. I’m pretty sure that about 99% of the working population of Omaha made it into work today. Needless to say, TnT were a little pissed at Travis. So Donnie came in as sports reporter Nodda Pussy and did the sports report instead. I’m sure Todd and Tyler will be laying into Travis quite heavily tomorrow so make sure to tune in.

Due tot he fact that today was Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Caller 9’s birthday, TnT thought it would be a good idea to get a few black men together and send them over to Caller 9’s place for a little birthday action. They made several references to the bit during the show and TnT even tried to arrange a few of their African America callers into the bit but things just didn’t seem to work out. Caller 9 is just going to have to deal with Donnie’s pasty-white belly.

J Medicinehat came in studio this morning and hung out with TnT. He talked about the shows he’d performed over the weekend at the Funny Bone and gave TnT a more clear idea of what goes on during one of his “adult” shows. He brought with him a tape from one of his shows this weekend. On it was a hypnotized Donnie. TnT had gotten Donnie’s account of what had happened early in the show but when the guys watched the tape, they described the events much better. Donnie was nearly in tears because he thought he was pregnant and he whipped out his throck (successfully blocked by J Medicinehat) n stage. After they finished the video TnT took many calls from listeners who’d seen either the Donnie show or one of the other shows J had done this weekend.
