| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 01-21-2000 Friday 1-21-00 TnT started off their show today reading some e-mails and message board posts. There was some reaction to a caller who said TnT were racists yesterday and there was plenty more talk regarding the arena. The group discussed the news Lisa read and poked fun at Donnie due to the fact that they think Donnie liked Jason Stuart’s affection too much. Larry the Cable Guy called in today and delivered a speech that he said he’d give when he runs for president. Before he gave us the speech, he made a bunch of references to the Brady Bunch and related the final season to that of the last year of Clinton’s rein. During Lisa’s entertainment news, she mentioned it was Mack Davis and Billie Ocean’s birthday today. So TnT spent some time calling various Mack Davis’s and Billie Ocean’s around the country. The got a hold of a bunch of Mack Davis relatives but none of them were actually related to the real guy. TnT sang “Don’t Get Hooked On Me” to those folks and then moved on. The only Billie Ocean they got a hold of was a preacher in Kansas. He was surprisingly cool and gave TnT some information about Billie Ocean (the real guy) that they didn’t already know. General Jim called in today and seemed mad about TnT’s threat to quit if Omaha doesn’t vote in an arena. He gave them a hard time on the air and informed them that they’d be having a meeting about the whole situation this afternoon. After General Jim’s call, TnT got many support calls from their listeners telling them not to worry about the meeting too much. At the end of the show, the guys replayed the General Jim call. TnT spoke with Harland Williams who will be coming to the Funny Bone for a special engagement very soon (check out the http://www.funnyboneomaha.com” target=blank>Funny Bone web site for details). You may know Harland from his part as the guy in jail in “Half Baked”. He spent some time talking with TnT about famous folks he’s worked with including Jim Carey and Bruce Willis. The conversation was quite interesting. Make sure to get your tickets to see him. The guys spoke with Greg Peterson in St. Louis. They discussed the Rams and the possibility of them going to the Super Bowl. Jason Stuart jumped in a few times and Greg seemed to be a little annoyed by him. Jason, in return, seemed pretty bored with Greg. If the Rams continue to win, TnT will be speaking with Greg again very soon so stay tuned. Jason Stuart from the Funny Bone came in and hung out with TnT for the last few hours of the show. He seemed to lose interest in Donnie as the show progressed as Jason realized how much of a redneck he actually is. They talked about a plethora of things but the main focus of their discussions seemed to be around being gay. The gang went through the gambit of talk about gay-related issues, stereotypes, how straight people deal with gay folks and how gay people deal with straight people. Jason discussed some of the famous people he’s worked with and bonded with his comedy friend Harland Williams when TnT spoke with him. Jason answered many questions from the listeners as well. He didn’t seem to dig TnT’s “Living La Vita Homo” but it seemed that he didn’t get the local references and that might be why. Gay or not, stop on out and see Jason this week at the Funny Bone. After all, funny is funny regardless. Call 493-8036 for reservations and information. Well, that’s all for the update today. Check back here on Monday for another. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. –the Alien Guy-
