Wednesday 1-26-00

Todd and Tyler started the show off today talking about Dr. John and how he was arrested again last night. They also got a call from a guy named Rock who wanted to turn in his 37-year-old 6’2” 300 pound virgin buddy Lyle. The guys said they’d do what they could to help but I think they’ve become tired of trying to get virgins laid. The bit has kind of turned into a “Hey, I’m a virgin too. Now get me some” situation and it’s become tiring. Most of the people who are calling in aren’t really virgins at all and are just trying to use the show to score some easy pie.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave a commentary about the weather. Larry wanted to know what the hell happened to “global warming” when it is 30 degrees in Florida. His commentary lead into a round of “How Cold Is It…” jokes.

Today was the first day of Donnie’s road trip to the Super Bowl. He and Caller 9 took off yesterday and checked in bright and early from St. Louis this morning. Donnie called TnT from beneath the arch and Todd seemed convinced that Donnie was receiving a road hummer at the time. Later Donnie went to the Bowling Hall of Fame. He was going to check and see if he could find the names of any TnT listeners on the wall but couldn’t get in. The Hall of Fame was closed and the woman at the counter wouldn’t let him sneak inside. He then tried to talk to someone with the Cardinals organization but the secretary was a “bitch”. After that, he went to a casino boat that was on the river by the arch. Once he got inside, he handed the phone to some old lady who was busy plunking away at the slots. Donnie told her that she would be talking to Regins and some other guy from “Good Morning America” and she bought it. She spoke with TnT, thinking she was on TV and then handed the phone back to Donnie. Towards the end of the show, Donnie and Caller 9 went to the Bud plant and took the tour. They and one other guy were the only ones there so TnT spoke with the tour guide and the other tour taker who was in town on business. Tomorrow Donnie will be checking in from Nashville so tune in.

The guys continued calling other countries today in order to get their take on the Super Bowl. They got a hold of a cool guy named Felix in the Berlin, Germany Hard Rock Café. He picked the Titans to win. After that, they spoke with Samir in an Italian hotel. He spoke English but TnT overwhelmed him with questions all at the same time. Poor Samir’s head exploded and he hung up the phone. TnT checked in with the Hard Rock Café in London and spoke to a hot Australian chick named Kerry. She picked the Rams to win. The guys tried to call Mexico but ended up in Canada. The lady who answered there hung up on them. The calls concluded when TnT got a hold of a guy in Sicily calling himself Carmine who picked the Titans to win “2 to 1”. He was totally clueless.

The guys spoke with Dr. John about his arrest. It was around 7pm when he was taken to jail for the second time. TnT talked about the shops he owned in St. Louis and discussed Dr. John’s court date being set for Valentines Day. He and TnT thought the date was set on Valentines Day because someone knows that is going to be Dr. John’s busiest day of the year and they don’t want him there. Dr. John said that other than the two arrests, business has been going very well for him. He seemed pretty amused when TnT said they were willing to come work the store for an hour or so on Valentines Day while he’s in court.

Travis gave TnT a Super Bowl quiz today. They stretched the bit out for nearly 20 minutes thanks to Travis’s huge-ass bible-like stack of obscure Super Bowl questions. Put a bullet in my head.

David Testrot from the Funny Bone came in today. He talked with Todd about Denver, skiing, fishing and pot. David proclaimed himself to look like the fat guy Dennis off of the 80’s TV show “Head of the Class”. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to enjoy himself. Towards the end of the show, TnT got a call from Jenny. She’s the 19-year-old fork lift driver who was going to take care of Virgin Zack on Monday. Well, her family heard what she was going to do and gave her a bunch of crap about it so she had to back out of the deal. TnT were a bit upset but it didn’t take them long to find a backup. Candy, the 31-year-old toy lover chick from yesterday confirmed with TnT this morning that she’d do Zack on Monday. Make sure to tune in.
