| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 02-07-2000 Monday 2-7-00 Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning talking about their weekends. They attended a benefit for the sister of their buddy Charley and had all sorts of neck-related tales to share. Lisa was out of town today because her family plans on killing her 95-year-old grandfather with a surprise birthday party in Phoenix. Way to go Lisa. He’s 90-fricken-5. If he doesn’t die of fright when y’all flip the switch and jump at him screaming “Surprise!”, he’s gonna keel over when you make him blow out the torch on his cake. Brian Houston sat in for her today. Brian, recently let go of by FOX42, has gotten a job in Anchorage, Alaska. He’ll be leaving on Sunday. A large portion of the show today was spent talking about Alaska. Brian’s departure topped by Todd’s infatuation with the north, fishing and all things outdoors prompted many discussions about the state. Callers checked in throughout the show to discuss weather, the whole sun setting situation, fishing, bars, ratio of women to men and teeth counts. Towards the end of the show, the guys called one of Todd’s old radio partners/friends who lives in Anchorage now. They talked about…..well…..weather, the whole sun setting situation, fishing, bars, ratio of women to men and teeth counts. Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave a commentary on how the Miss America pageant contestants always try to save the world by picking a “cause” to get behind. There didn’t seem to be anything extraordinary about today’s commentary. Larry will check in later on in the week so stay tuned for more. TnT spent some time this morning reconfirming their plans for next Monday’s show. For Valentine’s Day, the guys are going to have Donnie perform some weddings. Two lesbian couples will profess their commitment to each other. There will also be two bi-racial marriages performed. One black man and white woman as well as one white man and black woman are going to tie the knot! Travis, the designated father of the brides, will be giving all of the brides away. Shortly after, he’ll be appearing in church. After talking to a majority of the folks taking place in next week’s weddings, it sounds like everything will go smoothly. I’m sure TnT will attempt to check in with all the couples later in the week to re-reconfirm plans. Towards the end of the show, a lady called in acting like Corky saying she wanted to get married. TnT had some compassion for her and said that they would marry her and her man if her parents would be okay with it all. After teetering on the brink of actually believing the caller to have Down Syndrome, they came to the conclusion that she was trying to pull one over on them towards the end of the call. After that, the guys spent a little time getting a professional photographer set up for the event. TnT spoke with Biff Henderson this morning. Biff’s the guy who’s always on David Letterman’s show as the stage manager. With Letterman being in the news lately due to his recent heart surgery and rumors flying around that he’ll be returning to the air on Valentine’s Day, the guys thought it would be cool to get an insiders view. Donnie, in an amazing effort as show producer, got Biff on the phone. TnT’s conversation with Biff wasn’t incredibly interesting through no fault of their own but the story leading to how Donnie got Biff on the phone was great. Donnie had done some research and finally got Biff’s number. Upon calling him, Biff was very reluctant to go on the air. Quickly, Donnie concocted a story about how the radio station gives away $1000/month to any caller who can provide the show with the phone number of a famous person. Donnie told Biff that a female caller named Susan checked in and gave them his number and that if he agreed to talk with TnT on the air, Susan would win the $1000. Well, poor old Biff bought Donnie’s amazing line of crap and went on the air with TnT. Beforehand, TnT had no idea of what Donnie had said to get Biff on the phone so right before they brought him up on the air, Donnie came running into the studio to introduce Biff and set up the illusion the $1000 prize. Duck Butt snatched the mike and rambled something about Susan being the $1000 winner for getting Biff on the air and then let TnT take over the interview. In the end, Donnie revealed the tale to TnT and everyone seemed to get a kick out of it. Nice work Donnie! Next time, try to pull one over on someone other than a dude who runs a camera. Todd and Tyler had a conversation with a lady named Angela this morning. She works for a company called http://www.vermontteddybear.com” target=blank>Vermont Teddy Bears that specializes in custom-made teddy bears for Valentine’s Day or any occasion. TnT talked to her about their bears and some of the funny things they’ve done with them in the past. It truly seems like they’ve got a bear for every occasion and if they don’t, they’ll be happy to custom make one (within reasonable limits). Please visit their web site at www.vermontteddybears.com or call 1-800-829-BEAR for information or to order. TnT spoke with Amy Pollar of the http://www.uprightcitizens.org/” target=blank>Upright Citizens Brigade, a sketch comedy show that airs weekly on Comedy Central. She recently appeared in “Duce Biggalo, Male Gigolo” with Rob Schnider. The gang talked about the TV show, her movie career and some of the improv stage things she and her brigade do. Check out their web site if you want to get an idea of how whacked their Comedy Central show is. The gang will be appearing at the 18th Amendment on Wednesday night from 7-9pm for a lingerie contest sponsored by Dr. Johns. Further details will be given over the next two days so tune in. Well, that’s about it for the update. Check back here tomorrow for the wacky Tuesday version. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. –the Alien Guy-
