The guys started off their show this morning talking about Dr. John’s arrest yesterday. Late in the show, the guys spoke with Dr. John and asked him about it. There really isn’t anything new on the whole arrest situation but TnT did talk about Dr. John’s part in tomorrow night’s lingerie contest at the 18th Amendment.

The guys spent some time this morning reconfirmed their lesbian couples that are going to be getting married next Monday. TnT also got another lesbian couple, Regina and Betty, to commit to Monday’s events. Not only are they lesbians, but they’re African American. Yes, TnT are really sticking it to bigoted, racist rednecks in regards to this particular wedding! Make sure to tune in Monday for the giant Valentine’s Day love-fest.

Lisa read a story about a man who robbed a porn shop with a vibrator this morning. Along the same lines, a female caller checked in to tell TnT her very own “strange weapon” story. Her construction worker dad used to carry around a baseball bat in the car in case trouble came about. One time while she, her siblings, mother and father were driving and someone tried to run them off the road. Her dad pulled over and reached into the back seat for his baseball bat. Instead, he grabbed a tube of caulk. The caller said her dad got his ass handed to him while trying to put up a fight with his caulk. TnT, of course, spent a good deal of time joking about “caulk”. Later in the show, they replayed the call.

TnT sent Slave Boy Chris out this morning to try to recruit models for tomorrow night’s Lingerie contest at the 18th Amendment. He tried the Hy-Vee on 96th and Q but didn’t have any luck. From there, he went to the Gold’s Gym on 108th and Q. Chris put a 54-year-old on the phone with TnT. She didn’t seem to be interested but turned in another person at the gym who “might be”. Well, when TnT talked to her and explained the competition, she didn’t seem interested either. Later, Chris went to a coffee shop and got 2 ladies to agree to join. It turns out that the two ladies are also the same “couple” that wanted to have a 3-some with Zack the virgin. After those two agreed to do the lingerie contest, calls started pouring in from ladies offering up their services.

Vilmose came in this morning. His visit to town, unlike the last 10 times he’s been in studio with TnT, was actually related to a Funny Bone appearance. He’ll be at the Bone through Sunday so stop on out and see him. Don’t worry, if you didn’t get enough of Vilmose today, he’ll be back in studio tomorrow. Get your “Try to get money out of this guy/girl for me…they owe me” calls ready.

TnT spoke with former Elkhornian, Creighton guy and current Milwaukee Brewers player Kyle Peterson today. He recently screwed up his shoulder pretty badly and has to have some work done on it. The guys thought they’d talk to him about the injury and wish him well on getting all healed up. According to Kyle, it’ll be another 6 or 7 weeks before he’ll be set to take the mound again. Todd and Tyler did make sure to find out the most pressing information regarding shoulder injuries: you’re not allowed to twist one off.

Todd and Tyler had an amazingly awesome interview this morning with Jack Hannah. You may know him from his visits to the Letterman show or any of the TV shows he’s done or been a part of. After talking to TnT for a few minutes, Jack must have gotten an idea of how the TnT show works. I say this because it was only 3 minutes into the conversation before Jack landed a dick joke. The guys talked to him about his appearances on Letterman, discussed his travels around the world, asked questions about strange animals, women breast feeding elephants and Omaha’s zoo. Jack really seemed to enjoy talking with TnT and dropped several “You guys are crazy” cards on TnT. This interview will definitely end up on the Best Of shows so keep tuned in. TnT are sure to get Jack back on the phone with them at some point in the future as well.

TnT spoke with Julie Cornell this morning about a story she did last night. The story was around some freak in Lincoln who was doing some funky stuff at a group home. Anyway, the guy’s name was Merle Travis Justice! Julie said she and most of the newsroom at Channel 7 found it rather amusing. TnT did as well because they gave their own Travis Justice a very hard time all morning long. Later in the conversation, the guys spoke with Julie’s husband Bill Ramby. He and Todd geeked out over some new weather-predicting computer called “The Predictor”.

Lonesome Dave of Foghat died yesterday and in tribute, TnT had General Jim come in studio. Jim’s a huge Foghat fan so TnT thought they’d make their boss happy and honor Lonesome Dave at the same time. TnT haven’t played a song in full for years now but they went ahead and let Jim pick out a Foghat tune and then the guys played the song in it’s entirety.
