TnT Show 03-10-2000

Friday 3-10-00

Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show discussing Hilary Clinton’s visit to Omaha and how she’s sucking money out of Buffet. They also discussed Lisa’s newscast and talked about their plans for this morning’s show. The guys continued the March Madmen tournament very early today as well. Check the bracket graphic to see who won.

This morning was another Big Beefy Friday. Gene from the Brass Grille (1207 Harney) came by to grill up the beef. Someone thought it would be a good idea to put the grill right next to some sort of ventilation duct outside. Well, the smoke and smell of burning beef flesh filled the studio. The guys tried to mask it with several smells including pine-scented Glade and lighter fluid but the masking odors only made everyone sick. Eventually, the smell went away and TnT strapped a big hunk of beef to Travis’s microphone.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and delivered a commentary on that freak Darva. Throughout the commentary, Larry had scattered various fart noises and blamed it all on eating Shredded Wheat or something. Tune in next week for more Larry commentaries.

The guys called Troy, yesterday’s Vegas trip winner. The note they were left said that they weren’t supposed to call him at work and that he was kind of a jerk. Well that’s not going to stop TnT! The guys went ahead and called him at work and found out that he wasn’t a jerk at all. He was just shocked and stunned that he’d actually won the trip. He plans on taking a buddy with him as well. As for today’s Vegas song, I don’t believe a band came in to play one.

Blues artist Curtis Salgado came in studio this morning and played a few songs for TnT. He sounded great! Curtis talked with the guys about his career and being the inspiration for one of John Bolushi’s characters. If you get the chance, go see Curtis at the Zoo Bar on Saturday night.

Bobcat Goldthwait joined TnT in studio this morning and hung out for a majority of the show. TnT sort of covered the board with Bobcat today. They talked about his girlfriend Nikki Cox as well as his ex-wife and daughter. They talked about some of the things that have recently gone on in his career (I.E. Hollywood Squares, the cancellation of the “Big Ass Show”) as well as some discussions about his older work as well. The guys also found out, after severe prying, that Bobcat used to date Jennifer Tilley. The Bobcat visit was great and you’ll probably be able to catch it on a replay show at some point so keep tuned in. Make sure you get out to the Funny Bone Friday or Saturday and catch the show. Call 493-8036 for reservations.

Well, that’s all for the update today. Check back here Monday for a new one. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. –the Alien Guy-
