The guys started off this morning’s show reading some message board posts from the DiscoverOmaha.com web site regarding them and their show. They seemed pretty amused that TnT bashing and supporting was taking place on another organization’s web site, not just their own. On an unrelated note, Donnie came in studio this morning and informed everyone that it was his birthday so Happy Birthday Donnie. Later in the show, Donnie’s kids checked in from daycare and sang to him. It was very cool.

Yet another priest is in trouble for giving Diekmans. There was an article in the Saturday paper about a priest getting caught offering up a Diekman to an under cover cop in one of the homo parks around town. TnT heard about the situation yesterday because they weren’t in town last week. Anyway, from what TnT heard, it was a monk who busted. They sent Lisa to search the newspaper for any articles about monks but she turned up empty handed. Later, a listener checked in and read the actual article from the paper for the guys. It turns out that a 67-year-old priest who was the groundskeeper of Mount Michael School was busted in the park. In reality, TnT didn’t seem to be that surprised. What, a catholic priest is gay? That never happens. What pissed TnT off about the situation is that the city prosecutor said he may not even prosecute the priest because he was already sent off to Maryland for some strange church brainwashing thing that Catholics do. Okay, so let’s get this straight. A priest who works on the same grounds as high school students was busted trying to blow a cop in a park bathroom and he gets off with no prosecution. Dr. John, a legitimate businessman, tries to sell a product for adults to adults and he’s going to jail? TnT had a lot to say about that and brought it up repeatedly throughout the show. I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this particular priest so stay tuned.

Lisa brought in another list from the Internet this morning. It seems to have become a daily occurrence now so TnT have dubbed it “Lisa’s List”. They spent hours trying to title that bit. Anyway, this morning’s list was about the top 10 kick-ass TV babes. The guys spent some time going over their guesses and taking caller’s suggestions as well. TnT’s lawyer friend, Michael, came in studio to drop off a birthday present for Donnie and he seemed to be very good at guessing people on the list.

Because they had Michael handy, the guys talked with him a little bit about the Dr. John trial. Even though that sort of law isn’t Michael’s specialty, he still has lawyer background and seemed happy to relay any information he could on the matter. Later in the show, Dr. John checked in from the courthouse. He was about to go in for a 6-hour jury selection session and promised to be much harsher today than he was a few weeks back. Hopefully, he’ll get a decent, forward thinking jury this time and this issue can finally be put to rest.

Redd Peters joined TnT in studio this morning. He’ll be making a special appearance at the Funny Bone this evening only so if you want tickets, call the Bone Phone right now. 493-8036. He talked about al sorts of stuff with TnT including some details about his career as a funny song guy. He sang a few of his songs live for TnT and they played another one off of his CD later in the show. Redd also went down his huge list of wacky names. Most of those names could only have been uttered by Redd. Donnie tried to repeat one and ended up dropping (or nearly) the F-bomb on the air. Stick to Corky Donnie, leave the Cockitch references to Redd.
