Thursday 5-4-00

Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show by discussing the situation taking place in the Millard School District involving gay students. I’m not exactly clear on the situation but it sounds like the man is trying to keep the gay students down. Why would the man do that? Hmmm. The guys also got a call from the Queen of Avoca, Byron, this morning. Actually, Byron checked in several times during the discussion to give his points of view on everything (and I mean everything). From there, TnT spent some time discussing the dynamics of the word “mo”.

TnT sent Jeremy to Benson high school to try to win back some of their listeners that their hate caller claimed they lost the other day. TnT checked in with Jeremy a few times and got to talk to quite a few Benson High students. Nearly everyone they spoke to answered the phone with a resounding and enthusiastic “w’sup?” All the kids seemed very cool with the Todd and Tyler show. Towards the end of Jeremy’s visit, Monica, the girl they talked into staying in school, approached Jeremy and got on the phone with TnT. She said it was Todd and Tyler who convinced her to finish her last 2 weeks of school and graduate. After that, Travis dropped the “now all you have to do is drop pizza boy” card on her.

Dr. Ed stopped by for a while today. He answered a few questions but the show seemed so busy that Dr. Ed didn’t have the chance to do too much this morning. The next 3 weeks will be Dr. Ed free because he’s going on a little vacation but we can expect to hear him back on the TnT show towards the end of May.

Lisa’s List this morning sucked. It was one of those worthless forwarded e-mail lists that try to be funny but fail miserably. The list was comprised of the top 10 signs your secretary might be a lesbian. I won’t bore you with details because I’m sure you’ve all deleted that FWD: as many times as the redneck Jedi or signs Microsoft is taking over the world messages. Come on Lisa! Will tomorrow’s list be the Rules of Bedroom Golf?

Mayor Hal Daub came in studio today and spent some time with TnT. The main reason for his visit was to discuss the arena. He joked around with TnT and seemed to have a pretty good time. I won’t detail everything that was said because it’s all the same stuff we’ve heard countless times. The mayor wants the arena. Truthfully, his time on the show took up a large chunk of time but there really wasn’t anything new to come out of it that would warrant any longer of a paragraph about it.

Tommy Why from the Funny Bone came in this morning and hung out with TnT for a bit. He didn’t get to say too much because Dr. Ed and, moreover, the Mayor were doing their things. From what I heard of him, he seemed like a pretty funny guy. He’s opening up for those wenches the Untamed Shrews at the Funny Bone this weekend so call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations.
